어두울 때일수록 시장을 외면하고 듀딜리전스를 게을리해서는 안된다. 이런 때에 포기하지 않는 투자가 훗날 높은 수익률로 이어질 확률이 훨씬 높기 때문이다.
그러나, 지금은 특정 프로젝트를 바라볼 때 장이 회복된다면, 비트가 살아난다면, 유저수가 늘어난다면 등의 상상력과 가정을 동원하는 것은 좋지 않다.
하락장에서도 개발 활동이 활발하고 팀의 의지가 있는지, 자본 여력은 충분한지, 실제 프로그레스가 있는지 실질 지표를 살펴보는 것이 좋다.
트위터 쓰레드나 텔레그램 그룹에서 가정을 많이 하는 오피니언은 가급적 보지 않는 것이 나은 듯 싶다. 그 가정들은 대부분이 통제불가능한 변수이고 뜬구름 잡는 경우가 대부분이기 때문이다.
