"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" has completed and put an end to the Skywalker saga. It also closes a trilogy that has divided critics equally. And, while the Last Jedis brought together a good opinion of critics and not so much audience, with the ninth chapter is being turned upside down. And as everything in life is bad or good according to tastes I bring you 5 moments of the tape that we liked and 3 details that not so much.

The moment of C3PO

Although the android has been accompanying us since the beginning of the saga, it is not given the recognition it deserves. However, there is a moment in "The Rise of Skywalker" that makes me appreciate the importance of the robot. When they proceed to erase the memory, and with it, all the memories. There the fans realize everything the precious android has lived, a magical moment sealed with a great phrase: "I look for the last time to those who are my friends."

Finn's confession

Finn is reinforced as the faithful squire of King in · "The rise of Skywalker", and still a moment in the film that gives us a clue about the true relationship between the two. When they are being absorbed by the quicksand, the character of John Boyega releases a: "King there is something that I have never told you." ¿Would it be a confession of love? It seems to me that Rey prefers them with long hair ...

The redemption of Kylo Ren

After presenting himself as a relentless villain, Kylo Ren finally hugs the bright side. And it is thanks to the conversation with Han Solo. A dialogue about forgiveness and moving forward in life that makes Kylo react and can follow the path of the Jedi. In short, one of the reasons why Rey managed to kill Palpatine.

Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa

Yes, a lot of CGI, but it is impossible not to get excited watching Carrie Fisher again on the big screen. Especially in the scene where she and her sister are shown training as a flashback. A rich nostalgia ride that is completed when Rey pilots Luke's old ship and puts on his old helmet. A demonstration of how to make a good fanservice that is not shown throughout the film.

Worst

It happens that in this type of movies the script is not everything and the director can allow certain licenses for the action. However, the tape has some important script problems. An example of this is when Kylo Ren destroys the search engine that should take Rey to Exegol ... But it turns out there was another one on the ship. Situations in which the libretto suffers from consistency and does not allow to enjoy the film at all.

I recognize it, I also like the fanservice, in fact, it is a great tool to appeal to the feelings of the fans. The problem is when without this tool the movie cannot continue to work. Here, without Leia and Luke, Rey and company are unable to follow their course, not to mention Han Solo or Lando. Drunk of fanservice for the box office but to the detriment of the credibility of the main characters

It is well known what Disney's inclination towards how to offer its content is. And in this movie it was not going to be an exception. If before he commented that the C3PO scene had been epic for what it gives to think about the character, then it makes no sense that R2D2 fix the situation without disheveled. Missing some important sacrifice that makes fans cry. And I'm not worth Ben Solo.
