Yes HE was centralized from the get-go and many people was very critical because of this. Now the people that actually used Lassecash despite the semi-centralized HE is now potentially getting rewarded. HE has shown that they deliver crypto-related software that works, not just promises and they do it fast.

Anyway I understand your position.

It is centralized still, in the sense that running your own HE node doesn't do anything in the grand scheme of things in regards to checking the integrity of operations going on within the HE sidechain.

I hope they figure out the HE witness thing though so it's no longer a single point of failure like it is now but rather a collective of servers and users running the thing.

Yep. I agree.

It'll be another 6 months before we see SMTs go live (my guess) sp they have time to implement and test before SMTs go live.
