Day 12:) Shaping one's life

You get up in the morning, brush your teeth, drink water and have breakfast. Many of you may exercise and masticate the food wisely. You book a cab or take a metro to office. What similarity do you see in the last three sentences?

Every moment consciously or unconsciously we are being decisive. We are the product of the choices we made in the past. Most of our day to day activities are on auto pilot mode. After brushing for so many years, our right hand is already trained. We don’t have to pay attention every moment, we can scroll our news feed on social media along with it. Have you ever tried to brush from the left hand? Maybe you have. What differences do you feel? (In case you haven’t, give it a shot when you brush tonight). When we do the same task differently, we become more conscious about the task. It is a good practice to be aware of the work we are doing.

Being aware of the decisions, help us realize our comfort zones. As humans, we don’t want to come out of our zone since that’s how our brains are trained. However, one can train their brain if they want to have a better life ahead. We start the journey with baby steps but consistently, with time, the steps keep on becoming bigger day by day automatically.

I am not that a good writer but since last 12 days I have improved a bit. I committed to improve my skills and attitude towards life. Everything is impossible until someone does it. Scoring, double century in ODI was considered improbable until Sachin did it. Recently, Tesla build a factory in record time in Shanghai though initially people made jokes about the time frame for the completion of building.

The more decisions you take, the better decision maker you become.
