The German "Flow-Garden" eco-eductionnal floating islands are a huge success. In front of the town-hall of Hanover, 20 schools participate in the research and gardening of a floating farm. Meanwhile, moorhens and ducks have build their nests on the islands and breeded the first generation (Don´t worry, we won´t eat them ;-). Fish and turtles enjoy the artificial underwater habitat. And the plant roots clean the lake water at the same time from heavy metals. This vision is a total win-win situation for humans and nature and can easily be copied worldwide with upcycled materials and local plants.
Die deutschen schwimmenden Bildungsinseln "Flow Garden" sind ein großer Erfolg. Vor dem Rathaus von Hannover beteiligen sich 20 Schulen an der Erforschung und Gartenarbeit eines schwimmenden Bauernhofs. Inzwischen haben Moorhühner und Enten ihre Nester auf den Inseln gebaut und die erste Generation gezüchtet (Keine Sorge, wir essen sie nicht ;-). Fische und Schildkröten genießen den künstlichen Unterwasserlebensraum. Und die Pflanzenwurzeln reinigen gleichzeitig das Seewasser von Schwermetallen. Diese Vision ist eine totale Win-Win-Situation für Mensch und Natur und kann mit Upcycling-Materialien und lokalen Pflanzen problemlos weltweit kopiert werden.
