I personally am a bit skeptical of China not wanting to take over. I consider them a threat to the blockchain and uncensored media but that is just me. Hive was actually banned in China along with other cryptocurrencies.

Yes, I am also skeptical about that. Nonetheless I often share publications of the Liberal Institute.
I tend to think that China strives for hegemony, at least in the Asian hemisphere which could endanger Japan, Vietnam, India...
