Hello Hivians 🙂
The Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF) plays a crucial role in the development and expansion of the Hive Blockchain ecosystem. By leveraging the resources provided by the DHF, we are able to finance a wide range of innovative ideas and opportunities that drive our growth. This funding is instrumental in supporting developers as they create and enhance tools that further integrate and expand our ecosystem. Additionally, the DHF enables us to implement comprehensive marketing campaigns to promote Hive, thereby increasing visibility and adoption. Moreover, it ensures the continuity and advancement of various key projects within the Hive community.

About CBRSPhilanthropy
On November 15, 2023 we introduced our new project called @cbrsphilanthropy an innovative initiative leveraging the power of Hive blockchain to support individuals and communities in need. This platform exemplifies how cutting-edge blockchain technology can be harnessed to drive positive social impact and facilitate effective philanthropic efforts.

First CBRSPhilanthropy project
The first project commenced on February 19, 2024, with the primary objective of establishing a financially self-sustaining Web3 classroom in Caracas, Venezuela. This initiative aims to create a Hive Hub within a school, providing students with the opportunity to engage with the Hive blockchain and Web3 technology over the coming years.
To ensure the long-term functionality of the classroom, students are encouraged to consistently post on Hive and either delegate a portion of their Hive Power (HP) to the school's Hive account or contribute a percentage of their post rewards. These contributions are essential to cover the monthly internet costs of $40, thereby maintaining the operational viability of the classroom.

What did we achieve so far?
Firstly, accomplishing tasks in Venezuela presents significant challenges. The economic situation is highly unstable, with prices changing daily, leading to a noticeable difference between official dollar rates and those in the local market. This constant fluctuation makes it difficult to budget and plan effectively. Additionally, trust is a scarce commodity, as it can be challenging to find reliable partners and services. Moreover, the environment can often be perilous, adding a layer of risk to any endeavor. These factors combine to create a complex and demanding context for getting things done in Venezuela.
We managed to get fully funded. By posting weekly articles on Hive and with the help of @ocd and @ecency we got a good amount of rewards to help fund the project. We even got a huge amount of funding from the Monero community. More about Monero funding here: https://kuno.anne.media/fundraiser/59so/- We completely renovated the classroom
You can read the details in this article: https://hivel.ink/@cbrsphilanthropy/helping-a-school-in-venezuela-272130e9293f - We bought two computers, a beamer, a router and speakers.
- We signed a contract with an Internet provider and now have good quality and fast internet.
Getting everything done took a lot of time and effort, but we didn't give up and finally got the classroom ready. It was a challenging journey filled with obstacles, but our determination and teamwork paid off in the end.
This wouldn't have been possible without @nahupuku, the heart and soul of this project. His dedication and hard work were crucial to our success. I highly recommend checking out his articles to see his amazing work and contributions. His insights and expertise are truly inspiring.
In addition to setting up the classroom, we had an incredible opportunity to be featured on one of the biggest podcasts in Venezuela. The episode was live-streamed directly from our classroom, giving us a unique and exciting experience. How cool is that! It was an unforgettable moment that showcased the fruits of our labor and brought attention to our efforts.
Through persistence, collaboration, and the invaluable support of @nahupuku, we turned our vision into reality. The journey was tough, but the result was worth every bit of effort we put in.

Nahupuku Art classes
Let me tell you about the art students of @nahupuku. They are not just learning about art in his classroom. They are also learning about Hive and @nftshowroom. These students have joined Hive, and some of them have already written and posted their introduction articles.
Here's how it all works:
In Nahu's art class, students get to learn all about different art techniques and styles. They practice drawing, painting, and other forms of art. But that's not all. Nahu also teaches them about Hive.
Nahu's students are really excited about this. They have learned how to join Hive and create their own accounts. Some of them have already written and posted their introduction articles, telling a little bit about who they are, what kind of art they make, and why they are excited to be on Hive.
There's another great thing about this program. The students are welcome to come to the Hive Hub. They can come here to work on their art, learn more about Hive, and post their articles. This is really helpful for students who might not have access to a computer at home. At the Hive Hub, they can use the computers to create and share their work with the world.
In summary, @nahupuku's art students are getting a wonderful opportunity. They are learning about art, Hive, and @nftshowroom. They are joining a community of artists and sharing their work online. They even have a place to go where they can use computers to learn and create. This is opening up new possibilities for them and helping them grow as artists. It's an exciting time for these students, and we can't wait to see what they will create next!
More about Nahu students:
About Nahupku
I think many people in our community already know @nahupuku, but not everyone is aware of his full story. The experiences he has shared with us are truly shocking and heartbreaking. Life in Venezuela is extremely difficult, and it's hard to imagine how people manage to survive there.
Nahu has been dedicated to keeping this project going, even if it means missing a lot of time at work. His job doesn't pay much, and posting on Hive has been a big help for him, especially during the times when he got very sick and had to pay huge medical bills. Without the support from Hive, it would have been almost impossible for him to cover those expenses.
At his workplace, Nahu used to receive one meal a day as part of his job. However, because he has missed so many days at work to focus on this project, his employers decided to take away his daily meal. This has made it even harder for him to get by.
To ensure that this project continues to progress, we need to make sure that Nahu has enough money to buy food. This will allow him to concentrate on the project without worrying about where his next meal will come from. That's why we are asking the Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF) for $750 to support Nahu for the next five months. This amount breaks down to $150 per month, which will help him buy food and take care of his basic needs.
By supporting Nahu, we are not only helping him personally but also ensuring that he can keep contributing to the project that benefits all of us. Your support is crucial in making this happen, and every little bit helps. Let's come together to support Nahu and make sure he can continue his important work without the added stress of worrying about food. Thank you for your generosity and support.
What do we need?
We've finished the hard work, and the classroom is ready. Now, we need to fill it with computers to prepare for the new school year. With just two computers, we can't support and teach a large number of kids.
To provide the best learning experience, we need an extra 10 computers, including screens, keyboards, and mice. This will cost $1900.
Additionally, Nahupuku needs help from DHF to continue this project and teach kids about Hive. We are asking for funds to cover food expenses for the next five months, which will cost $750.
In total, we need $2650 to make this happen. This amount will ensure we have enough computers for the students and the necessary resources to support the project in the coming months.
What are the next steps
Once we receive funding, we will preorder 10 computers. The school is closed until September, which means we cannot enter the classroom. To maximize the use of the funding, we will add all the HBD to savings to generate extra funds until we need to pay for the computers. When we know the school's reopening date, we will ensure that we have the 10 computers paid for and ready.
We are also considering doing podcasts to further utilize the Hive Hub. We plan to invite different Web3-related people from outside the school and interview students and teachers. This will increase visibility for the project and promote Hive.
If you read the updates, you will see that we have been busy creating Wall Art in the classroom. One Wall Art piece will be dedicated to the Monero Community, and the other to the Hive Community. We intended to finish the MoneroChan Art, but we had to wait for our articles to generate some rewards for extra funding. This caused a delay, and we could not complete it before the school closed.
Here are some photos of the progress:
It is important that this Hive Hub becomes self-sustained within five months so we can move on to a new project. This could be another school or a community.
Additionally, we are in talks with Andromeda, who are working on the Web3 University project. They are already collaborating with a university in Mexico, which means that once this project launches, we can offer serious classes where kids can earn a Web3-related degree and possibly find Web3-related jobs. This project is still in development, so we do not have a specific launch date yet.

So so sad that our DHF has not gone through. After everything we have done we were hoping to get full support.
Everyone in the comments are possitive about this project and we invited everyone to vote :(

Caracas was such a beautiful place to visit back in the 90's. Such a shame life is so much harder there now... It's a pleasure to help out people trying to improve others lives!

This is incredibly exciting to see come to life and be a part of it from the beginning!
CBRS Philanthropy has effectively demonstrated an ability to conduct Hive outreach in THE most inhospitable economy & market in the world: Venezuela. Despite rampant currency manipulation (and fluctuations in purchasing power), this whole endeavor was financed through the kindness of others, and mostly through XMR and the Monero community, who stepped up to the plate and helped make this all happen.
I hope that the progress demonstrated and goals reached can prove to the Hive community to be worthy of proper financial support and assistance in helping grow the Hive brand and introduce young people to the platform!
Thank you for all your help. It is be cause of you that we found out about Kuno (monero community funding). I hope that Hivians realize how much was done in the past 4 months and what this HiveHub can do in the future.
I would hope that the Hive Community understands how it looks when a Hive-based and Hive-focused project such as CBRS (and CBRSPhilanthropy) was made possible by MONERO donations, and not HIVE donations in large part.
That's extremely disappointing to me, as our project was delayed at different points due to the currency issues with getting HIVE into spendable currency in Venezuela.
Supported and rehived :-)
Awesome 🤗 Thank you ❤️
Compared to most of the funding we're asked for, 2650 is an absolute drop in the bucket and for a great cause. You definitely have my support. Good luck gang.
Yeah, we don't need a lot 🙂 Just enough for those 10 computers and helping Nahu. We already onboarded 35 students and we can onboard many more in the coming future. And not only that, we teach youg minds the difference between Web2 and Web3 cause that knolage will never reach them in Venezuela.
Thank you for your support ❤️
This sounds like a great initiative! Got my support!
Thank you for your support ❤️
You got my vote for this proposal. Great project!
Excelente!!
Gracias ❤️
yes , the third world countries needs computers as much as web3 needs better mobilo support. but please yes send computers to Venezuela.
Sending Computers to Venezuela will not work, it is too expensive and too risky. We are going to buy then at a local store. Young generation should at least understand what web3 is. Thank you for your support ❤️
I meant go for it, like send it through giving the money to buy.
Fingers crossed that the DHF proposal will go through :)
I've been keeping up by watching her work, on Twitter (X) to be exact. I admire what you do and I want education in technology to reach the whole country and all people, so you have my vote.
Thank you for supporting us ❤️
Ecency vote on post and from Goodkarma on your proposal. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Melinda for supporting us and thank you @good-karma for you vote and your support as well ❤️
It's projects like this that give me more faith in this platform than any other. It's good to see people across the world coming together in ways big and small to help those who need it the most.
The proposal has my support. Best of luck with this project; may it be the first of many.
Thank you for supporting this project ❤️ We help others while promoting Hive and onboarding. It's a win win for everyone.
I know Puku, heck of an artist. Also great mentor and leader and I know this will be a valuable and perfect way to spend some DHF funds. Big Ups.
Nahu has a very good heart and you can really see that the project is important to him and he believes that is the right way to help young students at school 🥰 Thank you for supporting us ❤️

This sounds cheap, What kind of computers are you buying?
Here are the computers we bought. They are refurbished and enough power for the students.
Did you get the chance to read what kind of computers we are going to buy? We already have 2, but still need 10 to have a complete classroom.
Excellent initiative, these little things are really important for hive to interact in a good way with the community.
Thank you ❤️ We think so too 🙂
