81% of Recent ICOs Were Scams
.........................................................................................................................................................................................
- Four out of five initial coin offerings (ICOs) that have taken place in the last year have been classified as scams,
Homer Simpson could have figured that out.
When the so-called 'white paper' (if they have one) is unintelligible...... that's a clue.
When the the whole point of the coin can't be explained in plain engritch...that's a clue.
When the 'developement team' is more than a bit suspicious...that's a clue..
When 'management' is just a tiny bit less than forthcoming...that's a clue.
Tether Comes to mind...
My guess would have been about 95% or so. I'm not sure what the failure/scam rate was during the dotcom bubble 20 years ago, but I'm guessing it's very similar. People out just trying to make a buck by attaching .com to the end of something. Same thing here with cryptos!
Are you trying to disprove the long standing axiom "A fool and his money are soon parted" by posting this propaganda? Personally I'm searching for the exchange where the Venezuelan Petro is traded. I'm going to make a killing.
I know where it is.
Give me your money and I'll invest for you.
Sorry. Couldn't resist. :)
Well, blow me down with a feather! 😂
Though 81% of ICO's are scams, yet many people put their money hoping that they would reap short-term profits with that 19% belief.
Its a pity alot of folks would have fallen for the scam ICOs, that is one reasons some government believe the cryptoworld needs some regulations.
Taking into consideration that many would have lost their hard earned money, the management of the scam ICOs needs to be tracked down if possible and brought to book.
I'm just surprised it was that low.
Great technology.
I appreciate your Post

Shades of 2014...
Agreed. 8 our of 10 are scams and at least 1 is a failure, making ICOs super high risk investments, yet still people do it! Beats me..
Yes, certainly this is one of the points that does more damage to the market of cryptocurrencies; which, is very well taken advantage of by its detractors or enemies ... The buyers have to be watchful eye with these fraudulent offers and before the doubts, to look for or to consult specialists in the matter.
