The media guy said...what gave him his first clue?

  • Advertising and media businesses are looking for new ways to reach and track consumers who are shifting their viewing habits from traditional TV to digital platforms like Netflix, YouTube and Facebook . Ad executives are grappling with challenges in measuring consumer behavior across traditional and digital media platforms, as well as increased ad blocking, viewability and fraud issues.

Perhaps we don't WANT to be tracked...ever think of that?

20 minutes of every program hour is ads.

Indeed, for a while I was refreshing youtube when an add started, just not to wait the 5 seconds until the Skip button becomes avaiable :)) it is so frustrating to be an ads consumer everywhere, from the ads you can see on the street, buses, cars, to television, internet, everything, everywhere. We were born to consume ads!

The thing I find most disturbing is when a 'Breaking Story' or 'Alert' etc. is being shown " LIVE " and the announcer will then state " We will continue this horrific turn of events after these messages from our sponsors " . Leaves me shaking my head .

the ads are drawn to death and disaster like flies are drawn to shi...er....honey...

if there is anything that can fix my mood before i get to taste 1st coffe, its crying of media, how their ‚‚industry‚‚ is failing

this quite reminds me on ‚‚free media" from eastern europe, baltic and scandinavian countries, and their crying to EU and UN. basically, they asked more money for their work, if EU and UN dont want russian propaganda to win.

guys from this article are in same position. fearmongering and creating enemies doesnt work anymore the way it worked.

i can even imagine state department, eu and nato paying for media campaigns to RT in near future. aka to those who are way better in that job lol

technology is causing a disruption that is making traditional industries fail in what they were good at, the ad industry is no exception with digital ads taking over and more younger generation not been on tv is cause chaos and panic at the same time, in future they wont be needed cause you will advertise directly to the platform you want without needing ad agencies

ad media dinosaurs, and the mammals of the new technology era..

Wonder who wins..?

not the cold bloods..

I'll watch the odd sports program Live on TV . Regular programs can be downloaded elsewhere an hour or two later without the ads.

People also dont like when they edit the naughty words out of classic movies because the advertisers object. They deserve to be shunned now
