Best diving spots in the Philippines: Apo Island
My next diving destination i would like to share with you is called "Apo Island". This magic place is really laid back. In fact there is only electricity on the island until 22:00 pm so you will be forced to go "offline" which for sure is that what you are looking for when you choose to go there!
This is how it looks once you arrive by boat.
Marine Sanctuary
Apo Island has its own marine sanctuary to protect the turtles on the island. Seeing at least one of them in each dive during your stay is pretty much normal. Here a short video of me following one of them during its daily business:
Sardinedive
It was amazing to see the action going on under water while sardines are beeing chased by other (bigger) fish. In the video you can clearly see the sardines swimming for another day in their life. What a great moment to witness!
Ghost Fish
If you watch close enough you will be able to find the most amazing creatures under water. Just like this almos perfectly camouflaged ghost fish. It was the first time for me to see one:

Hey, hab paar gute freunde die auch in bali wohnen!:) die videos habe ich mit einer canon geschossen (weiss das model nicht mehr leider. Mein lieblingsvideo ist mit einem fuchshai als ich auf malapascua war in den philippinen :) tauchst du auch?
Hier in Bali leben mehr Schweizer als man denkt ;-). Ich freue mich immer wieder, wenn ich Schwiitzerdütsch oder besser gesagt Bündnerdütsch reden kann ;-). Wir haben recht viele Gäste aus der Schweiz und Deutschland. Ja, ich tauche auch - bin Divemaster und mein Mann ist Instruktor.
