Once a tourist destination becomes popular, most of the businesses take advantage of the popularity and hike their prices. Hotel rates, food prices and travel cost all go up.
Yet there are some tourist destinations that maintain affordable prices though they have been popular with tourist for decades. Thailand and Bali are certainly in the list of such destinations.
There are other destinations that have a lot to offer to tourist but which, due to lack of promotion, aren't as popular as Thailand and Bali but do offer extremely affordable travel. India is one such a destination.
