Whilst foreign direct investments in most parts of the world was slowing down, there was a surge in foreign direct investments in South East Asia, with Singapore and Indonesia seeing 42% and 12% increases respectively. 

Given its impressive ease of doing business rating and the advantage it has had due to the US-China Trade war, it is no surprise that Singapore was a big beneficiary of the increases.
