Exactly. We are not trying to create another Instagram or Facebook. Quality over quantity, anytime, any day. Many people don't even check their feeds, they spend the whole day catching up with their friends' posts or their favourite person. Some follow you, see you follow back, and then quickly unfollow you again. I guess they just want their followers count to be more than following count, which actually amounts to nothing.
