The aim of this competition is to extend the idea for Steemit blogging. If we give a donation in food or money, when money and food are spent, we have the same problem - a poor family. If you donate a computer and teach people to make good posts and comments, then they begin to get a regular cash flow. I believe that in the first month, every new user can make $ 500, In the beginning the most money is made on good comments. Steemit with this idea can feed many people, villages, cities and poor countries. I want to launch a human idea because more users bring higher and faster growth to Steem and SBD. I want this competition to grow, to get a global dimension. Now it's only one computer, the next time the prize can be 150-300 SBD - it depends on the support you give me.
Winner ( 38.779 SBD ) : @peterecheng

Hello sir, @dobartim, i would like to send my gratitude to you for this humanitarian services you re doing, am really proud of this great job you re doing. And the only thing i can offer you now is a prayer. God bless you sir and more power to your elbow. Above is my picture, i am a registered steemian but i really find it difficult to do the necessary things to help my development on steemit due to no access to good computer system. The phone am using presently is so bad that sometimes it could just go off and i could hardly get it on again. The reason why i should be consider is because am a student, i take full responsibility of my education, am responsible for payment of my tuition fee, and other expenses, i takes care of my accommodation, bills in the house, i feed myself. Last year, i almost could not pay my fee if not for the intervention of my brother, but now as i am writing he is late, he died of (cancer of the liver), i don't have anybody to help me, the load on my head is too much, i am so much afraid of seeing myself drop out of school for lack of money which i would not want to happen. Since i started school, life have been so difficult for me, my parent have nothing to assist me with, i have been hoping on God all the while. Just of recent, a colleague of mine told me about steemit and i was so exited, because i heard so many testimonies from people on how steemit had help them and changed their lives. I joined steemit with the hope of getting some money to take care of my necessary bills especially my school fee which is my priority for now. I look forward to hearing from you. Am Peter Echeng, from (Nigeria) am one of your followers.

My name is Esther Nantambi and I need to win the laptop for my brother @battebilly.
When Batte joined steemit, he had been a 2years unemployed graduate of computer science. All he had to his name was a second hand laptop our father had bought him for his degree. It was old and years had taken their toll on it. He thus would wire it to get some work done.
When he joined steemit, I was an intern at makerere university school of law. He was very enthusiastic and would pass by to say hallo and urge me to sign up( which I only did because i didn't want to kill his spirit). He would then walk with his broken laptop to the faculty of ICT to get free WiFi so he could steem.(data/mbs expensive more so on a laptop and he had no smart phone) I don't want to imagine how it was for him to have to arrange his laptop amidst some students for the state of his laptop is pitiable even in an African university. All i know is he was determined and persevered. evidence of this is in one of his storieshttps://steemit.com/promo-steem/@battebilly/the-joy-of-withdrawing-money-for-the-first-time-i-can-now-tell-everyone-i-meet-about-steemit-without-fear
the dire state of Batte's laptop.
Batte smiles after getting his first steemit pay oblivious to near future in which he would give it away to keep a smile on his little sister's face.
Me smiling on my graduation day curtsey of Batte's selfless sacrifice
Soon he got his first steemit pay. It however arrived just in time for my graduation. There wasn't enough money in the household at the time. I was OK with using old things but seeing that I would feel out of place, he used his pay to get me a dress, shoes,do my hair and help with a small home luncheon expenses. He made my day. Evidence of this is in my steemit introductory storyhttps://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@easydimes/how-i-lost-my-steemit-money
This however left him with very little to improve himself. He thus used the balance for facilitating his MBS so he doesn't have to walk a 3miles distance for WiFi.
He continues to spread steemit in Uganda, facilitating his own transport, creating fliers, posters and banners as he saves for a better laptop.
I know it will be uplifting for him to win the laptop so he can have a chance to enjoy some of the money he has been saving. To give him, is to give to the entire Ugandan community he is tirelessly working to promote.
In white, Batte holds a steemit banner yesterday, 16th, Feb 2018 during at steemit promotion in makerere university
He is a person that gives till it hurts. He is very selfless and gives even when he doesn't have.
I want him to win this for him so he knows that he is thought of and appreciated just as he makes others feel appreciated .
I have for along time thought of getting a laptop for him but since I couldn't,I jumped at this opportunity when i saw it.
Stay blessed.
Yours sincerely, hopeful Esther.
Wow, am really very happy for this unbelievable miracle, i am so grateful to @dorbatim for this great initiative, God bless you sir. You will soar higher and higher, God will crown all your effort with glory. What you have in mind to accomplish, you surely accomplish them all. So happy for this blessing, thank you for touching my life. So excited.
Thank you mister dobartim, you have made a very big change to man, it is a very noble deed. because the prophet Muhammad once said: the best man is a person who is beneficial to other human beings. I'm following you.
You will not stop amazing me @dobartim. You have such a big heart to help people. I wish I have to give rather than asking. Even if I am unable to benefit from this donation I still have to thank you and other donors.

Since 2011, I have being into basic computer training and till date have graduated over 350 students. The truth is that, as much as I always try to help them to utilized what they learnt to start empowering themselves financially, it is always difficult because 90% of them cannot afford computer system.
Last year December, during our computer literacy day, I reached out to all past students and existing one to trained them on how to start customizing blog using blogger and how to start earning as blogger, few is able to utilized it. The cause: same problem, no access to computer and ability to afford internet .
Last year I decided to set up another office to start impacting life with my skills and knowledge in financial management and making money on internet. So I have to sold out my personal computer (laptop) to afford it. It was in the process I discovery #steemit during a discussion generally about web 3.0. After the discussion as usual, I went online to research more and I discovered #steemit. I said to myself, this is it. It will have a long way to go to help not just my students, trainees and mentees but also people withing the community.
The plan of setting up steemhub along with the weekly empowermite training on financial education, personal and career development, using internet and most especially social media to earn money came up. And I am fully on it. Our first steemhub first training will come up first Saturday of March.
My wife is also in the process of being part of steemit but she need her own system.
Even my humble self sold out my personal laptop to set up a space to help people but grab one of the old pentium M in my computer school to get the job done. But sincerely, it is really frustrating. But in my own case, I should be able to afford a better one after 3 months on steemit.
