Do You Learn More From Stack Overflow Questions Or Answers?


When I search for information on a programming problem and visit a link on Stack Overflow I have often found it's a better use of my time to skim the question as posed and go immediately to the top answer or two. The answer is not always on point. But compared to the questions it's often far easier to follow.

I almost always learn something from a top Stack Overflow answer―even when the question wasn't directly related to what I was searching for. That case is the exception though. With careful googling I often encounter a Stack Overflow thread that tells me exactly what I want to know.

So how about other devs...
