Let's talk about the new movie in the Dragon Ball series; Dragon Ball Super: Broly. This film introduces Broly into now being a Canon character in his first movie (his fourth if you're inluding his three other movies that are not canon). It introduces some traits to some characters that have not been seen in the Dragon Ball Super series and brings back the old feeling of intensity back into the series.
This being Broly's first canon appearance allowed a clean slate for the character development of Broly, telling his story and his experiences, which allowed the audience to connect with Broly properly as a character for the first time. We as an audience felt for Broly during one of the scenes where Broly's father Paragus is not happy with him playing with one of the native creatures on one of the planets that they were on at the time, which was Broly's best friend, and because of this Paragus cut off the ear of this new friend and so they were not allowed to be friends anymore. It brought more empathetic feelings to the audience when Broly was explaining that the piece of clothing around his waist that he wears, is in fact the ear of his old friend that was cut off by Paragus, so that he can remember all the good memories he shared with that friend.

As we witnessed when Vegeta and Broly we fighting Broly kept reaching new heights with his power level which amazed the audience, Paragus, Frieza, Goku and especially Vegeta, which ultimately led to Vegeta transforming into Super Saiyan God for the first time on screen! This was definitely a highlight of the movie as we only ever saw the god form of Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta in Super and never Super Saiyan God. This had the entirety of the audience pumped up and excited. Another amazing moment of the film was for the finale we see that Broly has surpassed both Goku and Vegeta in power, therefore Goku and Vegeta teleport to Earth where they meet up with Piccolo, who helps them go through the fusion technique. This ultimately led to the creation of Gogeta, which is exciting as Gogeta is now considered canon in the Dragon Ball franchise. Not only did we see Gogeta transform into a super saiyan, but we witness his transform into Super Saiyan Blue!
