The talking - step by step

in #drawing5 years ago

The talking.jpg

An indoor scene, maybe the longest kind to draw : details, charachters, different perspectives, complex shadows everywhere... Stop it ! ^^

Lijdel and Bran are sitting, having a very important talking for the next events to come.
It takes place in a house in the middle of the countryside, Bran's house, so of course to show that, I chose to draw wood everywhere, which I also like the texture.
Let's go for details ! ^^

hi @djacbaweur
amazing! beautiful painting !! it's nice to see the process of your design step by step until the final result, up to the last touches of the details. what kind of colors do you use? How long will it take you to do a job like this? do you do it for work or is it your passion?
congratulations on your curie vote and thanks for sharing with us

Thanks a lot ! For the colors, i use watercolors. To tell the whole duration needed, it's hard to say, because I draw time to time when I get the chance ! And so, you guess it's not my main work...

All those tiny details are great! I like the countryside behind the windows and I also like that it's a beautiful wooden place. That looks like an ideal holiday destination to me :) They seem to have an important conversation judging from the seriousness in his face :)

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!

Thank you so much ! It's a very important conversation, you will see that soon in the story, stay tuned ^^

oH wow , look at those shades and the drawing itself. First of all, I really like your drawing process, I can see and sense how something so detailed and complicated came into picture. Love the color shades, specially how realistic the wood colors look.

Beautiful .

Thank you for sharing your work and congrats on that Curie :):)

Thank you ! And thanks to the curie too, they support me a lot :)

Yeah Curie is awesome :)

Quite a marvellous composition.
Great attention to details, textures, and light.
It would be fantastic to see a whole illustrated story with this quality work.
I take it, it must be time consuming, but, it is a good thing it was handsomely rewarded. It deserves every upvote.

Thanks a lot ! And there is actually a story with these illustrations, check my posts (the next chapter of the story is about to come) ^^

I love the transformation from the first drawing or sketch right through to the end. Adding the detail and color as you go. I am not great at drawing and amazed when I see the start of something and have no idea how it will end up. You certainly have loads of talent and you made this look like fun.

Thank you so much ! I really don't know if I have any "talent", mostly I enjoy it a lot and It's a lot of work, I think it's always the two keys needed to achieve anything ^^

I almost missed this post and would have been a big shame! Unbelievable how extraordinary it is. This kind is my favorite and can't do it as I'm not very good at coloring, or drawing. The shading and the details are very important and can make the drawing perfect. You did a great job! The two characters fit the scene, Bran is exactly how I imagine a person living there. The "talk" is visible on the drawing.
@djacbaweur you did an excellent job with the details and coloring as well, that kitchen of Bran's is exactly how I like a rustic kitchen. I love the step-by-step process photos but I would have loved to see what kid of materials you used, it would have been helpful. maybe you can include that in your next post. Well done!

Thanks very much with all these compliments ! I will think to make a post with the material I use, but it's in fact very simple - watercolors need so few material are so easy to set up, part of why I love it so much ^^

Your strokes are very detailed, very good and the color is quite striking. I've seen your art and it's great, keep it up!🤗
