It was so bad is had crusty stains on the pillow case, pubic hair in the bed and toilet, stained walls and sheets. Wrong wrong wrong. It was nothing like the photos on the website. I have written to the booking agency to make a formal complaint. I will send the photos when I hear back from them and I will probably write a blog about it. The world show know about that 'hotel'.
I have found myself a much much cleaner room in an another hotel. One where I could sleep in.

There are so many hotels/hostels in bangkok, you can find very good value and clean quite easily. It helps to know where if you've been there before. There is also the ultra budget for those that travel on nothing. I was in this box once, I ended up in Bangkok and 40 dollars to my name. I found an interesting place called 'The Overstay' outside of the touristic area, it was three dollars a night. It was not amazing, the conditions, but I wasn't complaining.

I'm having a search now. I seem to remember to cheap one called Happy or something like that but can't find it anywhere near where I remember it on the maps. Maybe it's not even listed. But if you get away from Khaosan road a bit onto Phra Aphit road, it gets cheaper for single rooms. On the maps, the one I stayed at twice was at about 82 Phra Aphit Road but on the corner there. Not Khao San Art hotel... anyways, goodluck!

It was totally gross. I have written to agoda, but so far no response yet. Next time if I am in country I will check the rooms myself before I book anything.
