I remember being a young boy and playing on my Sega Genesis fondly. My parents bought it for me for Christmas (or perhaps a birthday, it was so long ago) and I was thrilled. The Genesis had tons of great titles and I am an avid RPG player. That said, one of my all time favorite series of games for the Genesis was Road Rash. Road Rash I, II, and III were all released on the Sega Genesis and I played them all. I remember there being a Road Rash game for the Playstation but it somehow didn't have the same feel as the old Sega games. So imagine my excitement when browsing through Steam list of titles I found a little known gem called "Road Redemption."
Road Redemption is a rolling brawler that hearkens back to the god old days. The game play is simple, yet still challenging and the controls are very easy to learn. The graphics are modern looking, but not so intense that it bogs down game play. System requirements for the game aren't too demanding either, although you will need a fairly decent graphics card (with at least 1.5GB of VRAM) if you wanna thrash.
Having been released in October of last year the game is still being updated regularly, don't let this discourage you from checking it out though, for less than $15 USD this game is a great buy, and if that is too steep for you then you can always get it on sale over the holidays like I did.
I have included a short video of the gameplay, it isn't very long but it gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect.
A few things that I would like to see added to the game in future updates would be a system where the police will arrest you (like they would in the old Road Rash games) and also a way to steal weapons from the other racers. Overall the game still needs just a little more polishing up, but for being freshly released it is still a lot of fun to play.

Great review Babe! The game looks like a lot of fun, in a sort violent way.
