Last night, the sixth of eight Wilson kids graduated from high school! Pace, performed exceptionally well in his athletic and academic career at Maclay. So far, we have all graduated from Maclay High School and have gone on to Florida State University for college.
All of the siblings made it to graduation along with some of our relatives. The ceremony was only 45 minutes long, which all of the Maclay graduations aim to be about that length. The public school graduations in our city last for 3-4 hours, which is entirely too long. The speaker at graduation was David Ross, former Major League Baseball star and world champion. He currently lives in Tallahassee and was an excellent speaker, giving excellent advice to the new graduates.
After graduation, we hosted a little party at the house where family and friends came over and we enjoyed some Tex-Mex. When it became time to get ready to go and he had opened all of his presents, there was one more surprise we had in store for him.
Wednesday afternoon after talking with one of my siblings, we thought it would be an awesome idea to create a video for Pace where friends, family, and former coaches can all give Pace advice.
There ended up being 20+ individuals who participated and submitted a video. The video is about 9 minutes long and is intertwined with some serious video and some funny ones!
