NO! I see people making garbage with $50K cinema cameras getting destroyed by a kid with a cellphone and a gimbal. It's not the gear but how you use it!
I keep my gear a secret until the shoot. Depending on what kind of shoot we're doing, they know nothing. If they ask, I assume it's because they've been in my shoes. Most often than not, I just keep quiet and make my $$$.
