Hi!
We are Mat & Sophie. A Kiwi & a German!
Life enthusiasts. Freedom Seekers. Backpackers.
Living a free, simple & pure life.
We have been travelling the world for more than 3 Years now.
We want to find excitement in every day by doing what we love.
To some, we are wasting our lives by travelling instead of focusing on a career or doing the norm.
But we proudly embrace the title 'Life Waster' and we want to share our story with all the other Life Wasters out there!
As long as we can find a solid connection we will be posting daily vlogs.
Big plans are ahead of us, so join the journey and follow us as we take on the globe.

Last week there was a update (0.7) as far as i understand this should solve upload & storage issues
https://steemit.com/dtube/@heimindanger/d-tube-0-7-welcome-to-the-hd
Thats amazing news! Thank you for the link
First post ever here, woohoo.
Deleting or mabye better worded hiding a video would probably be useful in situations, just remember that a video could still be accessible in the IPFS network even if DTube implements a "delete" function as long as someone has the hash of the video it could still be accessed as long as someone stores it.
The hash of this video in source quality for example is QmTz7VjRgVVSL8Dch13Zsyo2gbJCHVugohY14D9Pa6vPx8 , that is the adress to the video on the IPFS network.
The beauty of theses hashes is that everyone who runs a IPFS node and watches DTube through that node (Like me) also can cache the files so that others can get faster loading times. Since I have watched all of your videos they are now cached on my server for some time.
Great videos by the way, I love your energy. :)
I knew they are stored sonewhere online but had no idea it was that easy and accessible.
Thabk you for the insight and thank you so much for the awesome feedback :)

Thank you 😀
Besides the pure "technical" no-deleting problem you have described from a contributor point of view there is also a more general and legal issue about the information not being able to be removed. @sempervideo discussed this lately
, it's in German but Sophie may translate it to Mat (or you check out the english version at https://d.tube/#!/c/semperenglish - only a minor German accent, hey kudos for doing it!).Also I am only starting to understand d.tube or steemit, so sorry if the following info may not be correct, better you double check it.
But some starting points that may help you if you don't know them anyway already:
Some sites show it, e.g. steemd https://steemd.com/@wastedlife
That may but must not be the issue you are facing as I also experience lags at voting or not loading videos often (with "bandwidth" still available). Probably an overload issue from d.tube becoming popular.
@theaustrianguy made an english video about it
Hey thank you so much for this. Great reccomendations and help. The bandwith allocated is new news to me and might be a good reason why the uploading gives us troubles at times.
Again thank you for the great refferences and info :)
Oh man! Your timing is perfecto! I am stunned by the troubles I am having! I did this post today.
Haha wow crazy timing!
Just checked out your post, bummer that you cant upload it. But i hear good things about dlive
Lol, you are not wasting your life bro, your are enjoying your life, travelling is fun, alot of people think its easy, but it isnt, there is a lot of risk out there, lots of plans lots of preparations, all the best. Share your good moments.
