LIFE LESSON FROM A BIRD (EAGLE)

in #eagles6 years ago

Of all living creatures, which includes birds, animals, insects, etc, Humans are the intelligent. But still, humans can learn big lessons from untelligent creatures like the birds that are guided by instincts. Today, we will learn from the EAGLE!

The Eagle is one of such birds that has a vital lesson to teach you. When you study the eagle, you will most especially appreciate its ability to soar (stay afloat) so high for so many hours without easily tiring out.

Do you want to soar high like the eagle? Then, borrow a lift from this wonderful Bird.
Eagles are large, powerfully built birds of prey, with heavy heads and beaks. Even the smallest eagles, such as the booted eagle (Aquila pennata), which is comparable in size to a common buzzard (Buteo buteo) or red-tailed hawk (B. jamaicensis), have relatively longer and more evenly broad wings, and more direct, faster flight – despite the reduced size of aerodynamic feathers. Most eagles are larger than any other raptors apart from some vultures. The smallest species of eagle is the South Nicobar serpent eagle (Spilornis klossi), at 450 g (0.99 lb) and 40 cm (16 in). Eagles are known not just for their farsightedness, but also their strength.
Despite its size and weight, Eagles can fly at speeds of over 80 miles per hour [130 km/hr] and can stay afloat in the sky at very high altitudes for so many hours.

What helps the eagle to achieve such a great thing without tiring out?? It is one quality, 'HUMILITY'.
Yes, It is the Eagle's humility that helps it achieve such challenging task, for the eagle does not rely on its strength to soar so high and glide long distances. Rather than rely on its strength haughtily, it humbly relies on force of nature that has been designed by a wise creator, God. How so?
In flight, the eagle takes advantage of columns of rising warm air called thermals. Once a thermal is found, the eagle spreads out its wings and circles around within the column of air, which carries it higher and higher. When the eagle attains a certain height, it glides to the next thermal and can stay aloft for hours with a minimal expenditure of energy., and the process is repeated.

WHAT IS THE LESSON FOR US?
The eagle’s seemingly effortless flight beautifully illustrates how you can be successful in your endeavors and overcome challenges of life. To achieve that you need not rely on your own strength and wisdom, instead, you should humbly trust completely in God and continually look up to God for He grants "power beyond what is normal” to all trusting in Him, and that is just what you need to soar like an eagle.
