When we think about Easter, most people think of Easter eggs, Easter egg hunting and chocolate bunnies.
But Easter is really the day we celebrate Jesus Christ rising from the dead. He selflessly gave his life to die for our sins. Easter Sunday was the 3rd day after his death where his friends visited his grave and to their surprise found he had returned. We have forgotten it's true meaning this in time but recently there have been popular internet memes and art to remind us of it.
The memes have gotten so much attention that already there are Silly Rabbit Easter is Jesus T-shirts available online!

Easter has nothing to do with Jesus actually.
Easter is about the return of spring, and it's named after the goddess Eostre.
The bunnies and eggs are also symbols of fertility, which are also associated with the goddess Eostre.
Like many pagan traditions, they have later been adopted by the catholic church and were branded as being 'christian' in an attempt to lure pagans to the church.
