Jesus Christ is our Savior and our provider for absolutely everything we need in life.
15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
1 John 2:15-17
We recall from one of the Bible passages that a very wealthy person approached the Lord Jesus to ask how he could secure his future. Jesus Christ took advantage of this opportunity to show him that the man's way of thinking was wrong, revealing that the obstacle holding him back was something spiritual.
This man believed that good works would grant him a triumphant entry into heaven, but he was completely mistaken. Eternal life cannot be bought; it is a gift we receive from Jesus through faith in Him. We have no possibility or capacity to achieve salvation on our own; it is Jesus Christ who grants us that salvation through His Holy Spirit dwelling within us.
But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
John 4:14
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
John 14:16-17
In this passage, we also discover that this man loved his possessions, and that's how his identity was defined. At that very moment, the Lord Jesus challenged him, urging him to sell everything he had to the poor and follow the Lord. While this wasn't a requirement for salvation, it was simply to show him where his trust lay and that his possessions were what controlled him. Even when Jesus offered him treasure in heaven, the man didn't accept it.
There are people who believe in the salvation of Jesus Christ but limit themselves to just that and don't trust the Lord for everything that happens in our daily lives. It's very tempting to try to depend on our abilities, our wealth, and everything we can achieve, but we must know on whom we should depend. On whom do you depend?

Jesucristo es nuestro salvador y es nuestro proveedor en absolutamente todo lo que necesitamos para nuestra vida.
15 No améis al mundo, ni las cosas que están en el mundo. Si alguno ama al mundo, el amor del Padre no está en él. 16 Porque todo lo que hay en el mundo, los deseos de la carne, los deseos de los ojos, y la vanagloria de la vida, no proviene del Padre, sino del mundo. 17 Y el mundo pasa, y sus deseos; pero el que hace la voluntad de Dios permanece para siempre.
1 Juan 2:15-17
Recordamos en uno de los pasajes de la biblia que una persona muy adineradas acercó al señor Jesús para preguntarle cómo podría hacer para asegurar su futuro y Jesucristo aprovechó esa misma oportunidad para mostrarle que la forma en que pensaba ese hombre estaba errada mostrándole así que era el obstáculo que le de frenaba a este hombre, era algo espiritual.
Este hombre creía que las buenas obras le permitirían una entrada triunfal al cielo pero estaba totalmente equivocado ya que en la vida eterna no se puede comprar porque es un regalo que recibimos por parte de Jesús a través de la fe en él. En nosotros no existe posibilidad alguna ni capacidad de tener la salvación por nosotros mismo, es Jesucristo quien nos otorga esa salvación siendo que su espíritu Santo more en nosotros.
mas el que bebiere del agua que yo le daré, no tendrá sed jamás; sino que el agua que yo le daré será en él una fuente de agua que salte para vida eterna.
Juan 4:14
Y yo rogaré al Padre, y os dará otro Consolador, para que esté con vosotros para siempre: 17 el Espíritu de verdad, al cual el mundo no puede recibir, porque no le ve, ni le conoce; pero vosotros le conocéis, porque mora con vosotros, y estará en vosotros.
Juan 14:16-17
En este texto también descubrimos que este hombre amaba sus bienes y así estaba puesto su identidad. En este mismo momento el señor Jesús le desafió instando a que venda todo lo que tenía a los pobres y que le siga al señor. Si bien esto no era un requisito para la salvación, era simplemente para mostrarle donde estaba su confianza y que sus posesiones era lo que le controlaban al hombre. Aún cuando Jesús le ofreció un tesoro en los cielos el hombre no lo acepto.
Hay personas que creen en la salvación de Jesucristo pero se limitan a sólo eso y no confían en el señor para todo lo que sucede nuestra vida diaria. Una muy tentador intentar depender de nuestras capacidades, de nuestras riquezas y todo lo que nosotros podemos lograr, pero debemos saber de quién debemos depender ¿tú de quién dependes?
