There are circumstances that seem devastating, but in our lives, challenges arise to purify our hearts, removing everything from ourselves even exposing some form of sin so we can grow in integrity with God.
After these things and this faithfulness, Sennacherib king of the Assyrians came and invaded Judah, and encamped against the fortified cities, intending to capture them. 2 When Hezekiah saw the coming of Sennacherib and his intention to fight against Jerusalem, 3 he consulted with his princes and with his valiant men to stop up the springs of water outside the city; and they supported him. 4 Then a great multitude gathered together and stopped up all the springs and the brook that ran through the land, saying, "Why should the kings of Assyria come and find much water?" 5 Then Hezekiah, with a determined spirit, rebuilt all the broken walls and raised the towers and another wall outside. He also fortified Millo in the City of David, and made many swords and shields. 6 He appointed war commanders over the people and gathered them together in the square at the gate of the city. He spoke to them, saying, 7 "Be strong and of a good heart. Do not be afraid or terrified of the king of Assyria or of all the multitude that is with him, for there are more with us than with him. 8 With him is the arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles." And the people trusted in the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
2 Chronicles 32:1-8
It is very important that you read this entire chapter. Here we see that in one way or another, God purifies us through different trials, just as refined gold does. This process is clearly not easy to endure, nor is it comfortable or pleasant, since it exposes everything within us. It allows us to deal with everything that is often hidden in the depths of our hearts.
5 Go and tell Hezekiah, "Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your days. 6 And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city."
7 And this will be a sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that he has spoken: 8 Behold, I will bring back the shadow by the degrees that it went down with the sun, on the dial of Ahaz, ten degrees back." And the sun went back ten degrees from where it had gone down.
Isaiah 38:5-8
One of King Hezekiah's finest moments was having this opportunity to be tested and refined by the hand of God. In the previous tableau, we saw how King Hezekiah impressively presented the defeat of the king of the Assyrians, and later God saved him from a life-threatening illness. It didn't end there: later, God sent him an impressive sign: He made the sun retreat ten degrees.
After all these miracles and signs from God, God allowed some emissaries from Babylon to approach King Hezekiah, flattering him. Perhaps this was planned so that Hezekiah would be approved in his pride and vainglory. God had allowed this guide to be tested so that he would know everything that was in his heart. This allowed King Hezekiah's pride to be exposed.
But concerning the messengers of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to learn of the miracle that had happened in the land, God left them to test him, to make known everything that was in his heart.
2 Chronicles 32:31
Observing all these situations, well detailed in the Word of God, invites us to reflect on our personal lives and thus ask God to reveal the most hidden thoughts, intentions, and behaviors in our hearts. This is not easy; it is uncomfortable. It hurts, but even so, God guides us with love, and the Lord Himself is the one who intercedes for us. God provides us with absolutely everything we need, and everything inhuman that happens is only for our good. Let us always keep this in mind: the story of King Hezekiah as an example that everything that happens in our lives is only for our good, and in some cases, God will expose us to make us better children of God.
17 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather the wheat into his barn and burn the chaff with unquenchable fire.
18 But not a hair of your head will perish.

Hay circunstancias que parecen devastadoras, pero en nuestras vidas se presentan desafíos para purificar nuestro corazón, sacando todo de nosotros aún exponiendo algún tipo de pecado para poder crecer en integridad para con Dios.
Después de estas cosas y de esta fidelidad, vino Senaquerib rey de los asirios e invadió a Judá, y acampó contra las ciudades fortificadas, con la intención de conquistarlas. 2 Viendo, pues, Ezequías la venida de Senaquerib, y su intención de combatir a Jerusalén, 3 tuvo consejo con sus príncipes y con sus hombres valientes, para cegar las fuentes de agua que estaban fuera de la ciudad; y ellos le apoyaron. 4 Entonces se reunió mucho pueblo, y cegaron todas las fuentes, y el arroyo que corría a través del territorio, diciendo: ¿Por qué han de hallar los reyes de Asiria muchas aguas cuando vengan? 5 Después con ánimo resuelto edificó Ezequías todos los muros caídos, e hizo alzar las torres, y otro muro por fuera; fortificó además a Milo en la ciudad de David, y también hizo muchas espadas y escudos. 6 Y puso capitanes de guerra sobre el pueblo, y los hizo reunir en la plaza de la puerta de la ciudad, y habló al corazón de ellos, diciendo: 7 Esforzaos y animaos; no temáis, ni tengáis miedo del rey de Asiria, ni de toda la multitud que con él viene; porque más hay con nosotros que con él. 8 Con él está el brazo de carne, mas con nosotros está Jehová nuestro Dios para ayudarnos y pelear nuestras batallas. Y el pueblo tuvo confianza en las palabras de Ezequías rey de Judá.

Es muy importante que puedas leer todo este capítulo completo. Aquí vemos que de una u otra manera Dios nos purifica a través de las diferentes pruebas así como el oro refinado. Este proceso claramente no es fácil de soportar y tampoco es algo cómodo y agradable ya que expone todo lo que hay en nosotros, nos permite lidiar con todo eso que muchas veces está oculto en lo más profundo de nuestros corazones.
5 Ve y di a Ezequías: Jehová Dios de David tu padre dice así: He oído tu oración, y visto tus lágrimas; he aquí que yo añado a tus días quince años. 6 Y te libraré a ti y a esta ciudad, de mano del rey de Asiria; y a esta ciudad ampararé.
7 Y esto te será señal de parte de Jehová, que Jehová hará esto que ha dicho: 8 He aquí yo haré volver la sombra por los grados que ha descendido con el sol, en el reloj de Acaz, diez grados atrás. Y volvió el sol diez grados atrás, por los cuales había ya descendido.
Isaías 38:5-8
Uno de los mejores momentos del rey Ezequias tener esa oportunidad de ser probado y refinado por la mano de Dios. En el cuadro anterior hemos visto como el rey Ezequías presentó de manera impresionante la derrota del rey de los asirios, y más tarde Dios lo salvó enfermedad de muerte, y esto no terminó ahí: más tarde Dios le mandó una señal impresionante, hizo retroceder al sol diez grados atrás.
Después de todo estos milagros y señales por parte de Dios, el mismo Dios permitió que algunos emisarios que venían de Babilonia se acerquen al rey Ezequías halagándolo, quizás esto estaba preparado para que Ezequías se aprobado en su orgullo Y vanagloria, Dios había permitido probar a ese guía para que conozca todo lo que había en su corazón, esto permitió exponer el orgullo del rey Ezequías.
Mas en lo referente a los mensajeros de los príncipes de Babilonia, que enviaron a él para saber del prodigio que había acontecido en el país, Dios lo dejó, para probarle, para hacer conocer todo lo que estaba en su corazón.
2 Crónicas 32:31
Observando todas estas situaciones bien detalladas en la palabra de Dios, nos invita a que reflexionemos en nuestra vida personal y así pidamos a Dios que revele los pensamientos, intenciones y comportamientos más ocultos en nuestros corazones. Esto no es fácil, es incómodo, Duele pero aún así Dios nos guía el amor y el señor mismo es quien intercede por nosotros, Dios nos provee absolutamente todo lo que necesitamos y todo lo que acontece deshumano es solamente para nuestro bien. Tengamos siempre esto presente, la historia del rey Ezequías como un ejemplo de qué todo lo que acontece en nuestra vida es solamente para nuestro bien y en algunos casos Dios nos expondrá para hacernos mejores hijos de Dios.
17 Su aventador está en su mano, y limpiará su era, y recogerá el trigo en su granero, y quemará la paja en fuego que nunca se apagará.
18 Pero ni un cabello de vuestra cabeza perecerá.
