If we do not take care of our emotions we are failing MASSIVELY to take care of ourselves and we are heading for trouble!
I have run into trouble in the past for not letting out anger, worry, frustration, it's a little bit like a volcano...If we do not have a vent we will blow eventually and because of all that pent-up pressure it will be huge!
Children should be taught some strategies and given some explanations of what they may encounter through life's journey. I would love it if all parents were kind, thoughtful and nurturing but sadly we both know this isn't the case (although I don't like to think about that).
We should also all be quite happy to cry in front of our children and to express emotion openly because when we hide it to shelter them we make it seem as though these actions are wrong.
I was very sad about Avicii as i have always been a massive fan of him, he was a cool guy, but sadly troubled. We can not see what lies behind a smile, this is sad too as we never have the option to offer help, assistance or just a friendly ear.
Poor you, I can't imagine your dismay when you got to know about Avicii @stevenwood :( Sometimes I too wish if someone detected his emotional state earlier or he trusts someone enough to be open about it.
Yes, exactly. Explanations and strategies definitely will help and go a long way in the subconscious minds whether they pay attention to it when it is first taught or not. I think it can be taught like any academic subjects.
