Between the coronavirus and this blockchain drama, 2020 is shaping up to be a year to remember. Schools are forced to go into online learning, and governments have printed trillions to keep the economy from Great Depression 2: Electric Boogaloo. I don't know about what everyone else has been doing, but it has all been kind of surreal. If you are looking to further your education in physics, I highly recommend Sean Carroll's Mindscape podcast and his new series The Biggest Ideas in the Universe.
Maybe by the end of this year we can look back on how much we have been able to learn new things that we might not otherwise had time for. Whether it is installing a new outlet in your home, gardening, or learning about physics, we should try to see this a time to explore our interests and hobbies. Many are suffering in different ways, so above all else make sure you are good to your neighbors and consider doing what you can to stay sane.
Surreal is a good word for 2020.
My kids learned more than I did.
Through online classes they were forced to type. Through boredom we actual had conversations about life in the dinasoaur days like thirty years ago. It was fun. Now we have to go back to school.
