Did you know? Jigsaws were a pastime reserved for the rich and were part of the heritage and family tradition.

Popularly known as a puzzle, it is usually used as a fun hobby, which depending on the number of pieces can become a complex challenge and headache.

The first puzzle of its kind was a product of chance and used for educational purposes. For the year of 1762 the English cartographer "John Spilsbury" decided to stick a map on a board and cut the borders with a fine saw. The pieces were ready and now it was only enough that the students put the pieces together.

Over time, artistic puzzles for adults appeared, were made of wood, cut by hand, and fitted in a push / place style.

Very interesting explains that it was a hobby reserved for the rich, in fact, they were part of the heritage and family tradition, besides being very expensive.

With the passage of time they began to be created with cardboard pieces, being cheaper and reaching a wider audience.

At present they are very popular and continue to entertain many people.

And what do you think of the puzzles?
