Art and Humor: or how to have a fun time with the archetypes of Romanesque

It said C.G. Jung, referring to the mythological ornamental elements that characterize an artistic style, luckily very abundant in this terroir of ours that is Spain, that to understand them, first "they had to be treated like patients". I have no doubt that it would be an arduous and rewarding task, one of penetrating into the medieval soul, applying psychology to those elements-many of them, ridiculous monsters, as Saint Bernard affirmed-unraveling the archetype or the occult myth beyond the visible and apparent. The topic could lead - and in fact already does in many cybernetic forums - to passionate and interesting debates.
But it also lends itself -and in this, the Spanish has a reputation as a teacher in the noble art of laughter and chirigota-, to be considered from a humorous and fun point of view, that without the intention of offending, offer, at least, a moment of distraction and fun that relieves a little the routine of every day. Of course, everyone can interpret it as best suits them. After all, laughter is not exclusive to anyone, and fortunately, there are opinions, interpretations and laughs for all tastes.
