Maybe your environment is becoming routine, you talk to the same people, you frequent the same places, etc.
One of the things that I love about Steemit is that you can share any type of topics and the ones that I have seen that do well are the stories or cryptocurrency themes. Another important thing of Steemit is that to succeed you have to make engagement with other users, especially if you are new. In some cases you are looking for help and you can find all kinds of topics, some more interesting than others.
