This time, Future Islands!
These guys have a litany of good music, with great remix's and reworks like the song above.
Future islands started up in 06. With three dudes in Maryland as the brain children. Gerrit Welmers (keyboards and programming), William Cashion (bass, acoustic and electric guitars), and Samuel T. Herring (lyrics and vocals).
Sam Herring has quite the distinct voice. Never heard a voice like his before. Deep and heroic. Sounding like he could be a crazy man in a fantasy novel.
At first I was anxious to play Future Islands while my friends were over because I was self conscious of liking Sam's voice. Its so fantastical it can be off putting. Overall I've gotten good reactions from people hearing Future Islands. Its a good one to play in the background of a conversation in the car, or a small get together.
