Hello stemian all over the world! Today 17 May 2018 coincides with 1 ramadhan 1439 H. Indonesia on this day commemorate the national book day which is also related with the day of literacy. Why the 17th of May? The selection date "17 May" as the national book day is because the National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas) was established on 17 May 1980. Since that 17 May is defined as the national book day. The figure who proclaimed the establishment of the Library is Education and Culture Minister Sir Daoed Joesoef.

But today a disappointing thing happened. the desire to read is very low, this is the beginning of the destruction of a generation. Younger generations prefer to explore social media through smartphone, whereas they can use smartphones for more useful things. Because for me reading is not just a book. Whatever it is, read it! Newspapers, magazines, announcements, wall magazines, online news, banners, billboards, or even food packages. Because reading can improve our knowledge.
In 2016, I have read the data released by Most Littered Nation In the World (2016), reading interest in Indonesia is ranked 60th of 61 countries.

This is a very embarrassing thing for our country, but I believe that if we have a desire to do something of course we can, and Indonesia has abundant human resources.
Today right on the national book day, I ahmad zaki husaini invites all Indonesian, especially aceh, to read! because reading becomes the identity of the nation. We are a strong nation, we are also a smart nation.
Remember always the message of the nation's fighters, one of them is Mohammad Hatta he said "Aku rela di penjara asalkan bersama buku, karena dengan buku aku merasa bebas" (I am willing in prison as long as with the book, because with the book I feel free)
In addition to reading, for anyone who has a hobby of writing. Then write, Whatever it is. Poetry, fairy tale, pantun, story, history, novel or scientific writing.
In the last few years I started writing, and here's some of my work

Hello @ahmadzaki, Nice to meet you!

I'm a guide dog living in KR community. I can see that you want to contribute to KR community and communicate with other Korean Steemians. I really appreciate it and I'd be more than happy to help.

KR tag is used mainly by Koreans, but we give warm welcome to anyone who wish to use it. I'm here to give you some advice so that your post can be viewed by many more Koreans. I'm a guide dog after all and that's what I do!

Tips:

  • If you're not comfortable to write in Korean, I highly recommend you write your post in English rather than using Google Translate.
Unfortunately, Google Translate is terrible at translating English into Korean. You may think you wrote in perfect Korean, but what KR Steemians read is gibberish. Sorry, even Koreans can't understand your post written in Google-Translated Korean.
  • So, here's what might happen afterward. Your Google-Translated post might be mistaken as a spam so that whales could downvote your post. Yikes! I hope that wouldn't happen to you.
  • If your post is not relevant to Korea, not even vaguely, but you still use KR tag, Whales could think it as a spam and downvote your post. Double yikes!
  • If your post is somebody else's work(that is, plagiarism), then you'll definitely get downvotes.
  • If you keep abusing tags, you may be considered as a spammer. It may result to put you into the blacklist. Oops!

I sincerely hope that you enjoy Steemit without getting downvotes. Because Steemit is a wonderful place. See? Korean Steemians are kind enough to raise a guide dog(that's me) to help you!

Woff, woff! 🐶
