Poem - The Empty Field

"The Empty Field"

I woke one day all alone
And everything I have was gone
I look outside and the field's empty
It's myself is without doubt guilty

Walking amongst the grasses
And saw time slowly passes
Before long my hair turned gray
But unlike the grasses I'm stiff
And couldn't sway

Loneliness has took it's toll
Before I know it I become the biggest fool
Slowly my soul is crumbling
While my heart is still eumbling

What I let go wouldn't return
Even if I regret and my soul burn
What is gone is forever lost
So before you act think and pause

The empty field is all I have
And like me it is waiting for love
But unlike me it'll grow grasses
For it'll stay even if I passes
