The English Football Association (FA) dropped the charges against Manchester City and Wigan Athletic. FA assess both teams failed to control the behavior of their players in the field.
tense FA Cup fifth round match at DW Stadium on Tuesday (20/2/2018), rising after City left-back Fabian Delph, knocked out Max Power at the end of the first half.
Referee Anthony Taylor was initially seen to be issued a yellow card for Delph. but, Taylor changed his mind and finally rewarded Delph with a red card. The moment of Delph's expulsion put Taylor in close contact with players from both sides.
Situations on the edge of the field also heated up. City manager Pep Guardiola and Wigan manager Paul Cook fought a fierce argument. guardiola and Cook are even still arguing when the two enter the locker room.
What did the City and Wigan players do after Delph's red card sent both teams indicted by the FA. They are perceived as failing to control their respective players.
"Both clubs have time to respond until Friday 23 February 2018 at 6 pm (GMT)," the FA said in a statement.
After the game ended, City fans threw objects, including billboards, to police and stewards on duty in the field. Meanwhile, hundreds of Wigan supporters stormed into the field.

One Wigan supporter approached City striker Sergio Aguero, and tried to say something. it provoked the anger of Aguero, who was seen swinging his hand to the supporters.
Related to this, Aguero will not be punished. However, both teams were asked to provide clarification related to the commotion that involves the supporters after the game.
