Italian automotive manufacturer Ducati reportedly is developing a motor equipped radar technology on the front and rear. And this bike will arrive in the market in 2020, radar technology developed with Politecnico University of Milano and later Ducati will be the safest bike in the world.
As reported by Motorrad, this technology not only detects other vehicles in the blind spot, but also identifies traffic conditions ahead before the information is distributed to the motorcycle through an adaptive cruiser control.
Ducati also plans to install various warning system riders. It helps the rider to realize that other vehicles are approaching them from behind.
The development of this technology is part of the Ducati 2025 Road Safety Plan which aims to add many safety features to its production engine.
This program is already running when Ducati implements ABS feature cornering and installing D-Air Dainese airbag technology on Multistrada 1200 model.
D-Air Airbag Technology is a protective technology for motorcyclists, in the form of airbags. The working principle is similar to the airbag on the car, which will expand when there is an accident or hard impact.
Dainese's airbag technology is touted as the best airbag technology today, when compared to Alpinestars' own competitors.
