I can feel it...

How's colour blending? Mashing colours together can be really fun, guess it works well as a relaxation activity? Maybe that also explains why I like to draw to relax...works all the time.

Have you tried Krita or GIMP? I like Krita more than Paint3D...it feels more versatile and powerful while still being intuitive after a few uses. It also gives thousands of brushes combinations so you can do the blending with more variety if you want. And it's free ;)

Enjoy your day!

The color blending is going great! I seem to produce much better results utilizing Paint3D, in comparison to the mobile options I've tried, as the opacity can be adjusted much lower, with a wider birth of girth? I'm not sure I said that right.. I can make the circles of color larger while more see through, allowing for a much more forgiving experience with color blending. I've also learned some new techniques along the way, and I am always deriving inspiration from my good artistic friends on Steem.

I've tried GIMP in the past, but at the time, didn't spend much time with it, as it was overwhelming to me, with trying to learn all of the options, and became more of a stressful experience, but as I progress, I am open to trying it again. Opensource awesomeness, GIMP is quite amazing according to some graphical geniuses I've spoken with.

I have not tried Krita, but I am already in love with the name. Sounds like a woman I might marry one day.

I'll have to check it out, in the mean time, I have a post I am headed to read right now , about some little mechanical keyboard, it sounds interesting, and I'm sure it is, because a really good friend of mine wrote it. See you around friend :)

Oh, and I almost forgot, yes, this reduces my stress to extremely low levels when I am able to fully absorb. This one went pretty well, and reduced my anxiety very much so.

Mobile options...uh, in my memory they don't usually work very well, with Adobe Illustrator on the iPad as an exception. Probably it's because of the Apple Pencil that makes everything easy and intuitive with pressure sensitivity and precise targeting anyways. I haven't found one for Android, and I don't think I can draw without a stylus either lol.

I also tried GIMP in the past, and same, no great memories with it. It felt strange using it - things are not in where I expected, and like you said, it has quite a steep learning curve. Krita in comparison is less daunting to use, with basic tools sitting in basic places and the more advanced toys sitting on the shelves waiting for you to pick them up when you need to. So, you can get comfortable with the application first with those things you already know, and dive deeper little by little, abusing the huge list of options and tweaks you can do to literally every tool it has to get what you want. Well, it's not as powerful as Photoshop yet, but it does improve a lot over time. Open source awesomeness :) not sure if it is as awesome as your dream wife in the future but feel free to give it a try 😂

Note: I haven't used GIMP for a very long time too, so probably it got better? I'm not sure about that but I'm comfortable with Krita now, not planning to switch for the meantime :P

Oh that post...have fun reading 🤣

It's like the same for me too, most of my better (?) drawings are produced when I have stress to release. I guess that's the brain doing its job, but nothing to complain. Not like we have much chance to do other stuff correctly when severely stressed lol.

P/s: I just found out I got a mention from you about a week ago on some comment, do I need to do something regarding that? Steemit really needs native notifications on the site...

My dream wife is not of this planet, I am convinced!

quantum entanglement is the solution

Yeah, I will give Krita a try. Is she more opensource flavoured? Or is she one of those bandwagon closed up kinda Win type damsels ?

terrible joke I must admit.

You must be speaking of @jznsamuel's amazing SBI contests! 😎

He actually just posted one a about ten minutes ago from the time of me writing this

The one I tagged you in is now closed, but I'm sure you will be welcomed with open arms to partake in new one's. No one scolded me for entering without being tagged, and jznsamuel is very nice and welcoming!

There is no obligation of course, but they are creative, fun, and thought provoking. I would definitely recommend anyone have a look!

Nice chat friend. It's always a pleasure to see you :)

Yes, I am convinced that the advancement of science can soon allow us to visit beings from parallel universes and we'll potentially meet the perfect partner at that place we don't call Earth

😂😂

Krita comes from the big open source family...under the KDE project if not mistaken. Just a side-note if you are trying it on Windows, the main mirror that hosts the downloads on its official site is slower than the dial-up lines if you're unlucky. Try using mirrors like FileHippo if that happens. On Linux you can just get it from the distribution's package manager most of the times, and they are wayyyyyy faster lol.

owo okay, probably I'll take a look around that...giveaways are good!

It's always great to see you around too, have fun!
