Greetings Steemian's
I hope everyone is well today. I would like to share some thoughts, as well as some pictures of a rare gem my person has possession of. Strange choice of wording perhaps, but I don't feel like anyone can really own a gem. It is not mine to be owned, it's a part of our planet, and it's gift has been temporarily bestowed upon me. It will be here when I'm gone, and gifted to someone else. (not of my choosing)
Today I was stressing out a little, as I tend to often do. Not really bad stress, the kind that is good, but overwhelming.
So I said "futuremind STOP."
"Let's not feel overwhelmed"
Whaohh, how powerful is that?
Complete obliteration of my stress in the snap of a finger. Not sure where that came from.
I composed a new thought:
"What have you not done in a while?"
My The Tsavorite, of course! It's been a while since I sat down with my the Tsavorite.
Those 👆 strike-through's are real, I didn't add them for effect, in the sense of; possessiveness, I needed to remind myself that I cannot be possessive over "things". This is important to me, even though it might sound silly to some. I could have removed them of course, but you see, this rethought structure is a process, so here I am talking about it. Moving along.
Tsavorite
Cool name, IMO, what is it?
It's composed of the garnet species Grossular (species?) Just ask wikipedia about it, and is a calcium-aluminum garnet. An interesting fact about aluminum, is that it's comprised of an odd number of isotopes, and only one isotope is stable, which is consistent with elements containing odd numbered isotopes, but aluminum's stable isotope is a primordial isotope, what this means, is it's been stable since the creation of the planet, defined by modern science. It's the only isotope that has remained consistent if the science is right. So that is a pretty interesting fact about aluminum, and Tsavorite has some aluminum, so cool.. It's a non radioactive isotope of course, I would sure hope so.. Not that we don't have radioactive frequencies pulsing through us constantly, but that is another discussion.
Tsavorite was rediscovered by man, in 1967 by Campbell R. Bridges a British gem prospector, as well as geologist. His discovery was in the mountains of north east Tanzania, in Lemshuko, 15 km, 9.3 miles away from Komolo, the first village. His findings of the rare gem created quite the uproar, and people wanted it, but of course the Tanzanian government was not allowing trade with their newly discovered gem.
Bridges worked to find more of the precious gem in Kenya, where he was sure the gem was also located. He was successful in 1971, unearthing Tsavorite in Kenya. In 1974 Tiffany and Co launched a marketing campaign, which brought public eye to the gem.
In 2009 Bridges was murdered by a mob on his property in Tsavo East National Park. It's believed there were political agenda's involved concerning control over his mines.
Henry Platt, the president of Tiffany and Co, proposed the name Tsavorite, to be in honor of Tsavo East National Park in Kenya.
For a more comprehensive breakdown of Tsavorite, here is the direct source to my information, which was previously linked, but in case you missed it and would like to read:

So I felt like it was time to connect with my the Tsavorite a little. It was if I could feel a happy welcoming spirit in the room, akin to a dog who is excited to see a loved one return from a long day of work.
So I removed my the Tsavorite from the protective container. what a joke, nothing is going to hurt the Tsavorite aside from heavy machinery. I know it probably doesn't need to be in a box, but I protect things I love, that is just my nature.
I usually resize my images, but I'm opting not to, so the full effect may be taken in, I am also not modifying these images at all, they are raw. I will crop, that is it.
"Futuremind let me outtttttttt"

Back-lighting no flash

Another of the same

Pretty cool huh?
Now let's see it with the flash.

And the last

So that is it, my the special gem that I am blessed to have possession of currently. I remember a couple of years ago when I purchased it. It was right after I had previously given away all of my gems I had. That is another story, but the short bit of it, was I had continued to relapse, and felt like my crystals were no longer helping me, so I left them somewhere in a basement, and will never be able to retrieve them. I need to have faith they are where they belong now, but anyways, I saw this gem, and I knew I was supposed to have it. The price tag was indeed hefty on this gem, and not very affordable for me, but I knew this one was a rarity, you see, these aren't very big, and the one in my possession is quite sizable in comparison. It is more than likely, I will never see another one in person this size again, unless I seek it. So I bought it, without hesitation. I am impulsive at times, but this was very instinctual, the crystal would not leave me alone, it had called upon me. Notably, I have not relapsed since having this crystal in my possession, so maybe there is something to it, irregardless, it has a special vibration that connects with me.
I hope everyone enjoyed my post about Tsavorite. If you ever get the chance to obtain some of this rare gem, I advise you obtain it. As it is indeed, very very rare, and very special.
