Blockchain will Help Feed the World!

The agricultural industry sustains our physical needs.

With the advent of modern technology, entrepreneurs have had the ability to venture into innovations in myriad markets. This has allowed people to pursue a career in any industry with less limitations than ever before. A sector that used to employ the most people in history, agriculture, has faced steep drops in new labor participation. Despite this, global agricultural output has sustained impeccable growth.

Technology has had a tremendous impact on agriculture.

Much of the agricultural industry now integrates cutting edge technology. Some of the greatest recent benefits have been yielded from IoT technology. IoT sensors help monitor and sustain crops with ease, thereby allowing the labor force in the agricultural industry to grow harvest volume by improving greater yields with less land. The reality is that even though we have witnessed an evolution in the way crops are growned and harvested and the way food is processed, the industry's distribution systems have failed to evolve despite being highly inefficient.

The distribution networks within rhe agriculture markets face the age-old problem of lack of interconnrctivity. Supply chain agents have been the connectors of food creators and food consumers, and this problem has seeped into the new data trades within the agricultural market. A new project has recognized the value blockchain can bring to the agricultural markets and is now developing an infrastructure that can revolutionize the agricultural industry across the world.

Efficient AgTech Markets

Pavo Project is leveraging blockchain technology and IoT technology to create a single system that can integrate various ledges of AgTech.

Pavo provides the technology needed to integrate IoT technology via sensors into any agricultural plot. It then provides the growers and field managers the ability to gather data necessary to improve harvests. Each year, the data gathered will allow farms to improve upon mistakes and create better outputs in the following year. This develops a positive feedback cycle that can allow technology to improve farm yields year-on-year.

While IoT technology is a critical part of upcoming AgTech, blockchain can ensure it reaches the full potential. IoT systems will create data that will remain siloed among independent farms. Instead, one farm's data can value other farms too. Blockchain provides Pavo the means to create a marketplace for the agricultural market.

Pavo's marketplace will be inclusive of all the participants in the agricultural market. Pavo will certainly provide the trade of data, but it will also allow the opportunity to counter a historic staple of the agricultural market, middlemen in the distribution of food. Pavo provides solutions to the existing problems of the current agricultural infrastructure and provides the technology to pave the future of it.

Hello @hatu Sir, hope it proves to be a boon for farmers especially as from many decades farmers didn't get what they deserve out of their hard work, much goes to distributors with a huge price cut, due to this neither farmers get their prices nor consumers get the right prices . Agricultural products become so costly when it reaches the end user.

True, this market is an optimal target for blockchain technology.

Well quite true about how IoT and blockchain can change the world but the problem is that there is no awareness about iot and blockchain among farmers and also lack of regulations from many countries which is really standing like a wall against such revolutionary ideas which can really have a huge impact on the agriculture industry. Well this idea may not be that successful right now but will take good shape in the future when there is common awareness and perefect governmental regulations.
Well for PAVO great job.
And thanks for sharing this new thing.

The Netherlands is a good example of how technological integration into agriculture can allow a country to have a sweeping growth in crop output. It will take time for other countries to follow suit.

Well thanks for info i did not know that Netherlands is actually touched and has actually impacted the crop output. I thought no country is using this tech. Thanks for sharing!

Its really excellent that the economist has done an in depth look at this issue and the resource challenges it has to address. Agriculture has to increase production and efficiency while using the same or less land area, using fewer inputs (fertiliser and water) all in a sustainable manner while also reducing its carbon footprint. This cannot happen via a single change, all technologies and opportunities need to be exploited. Fortunately, in some areas application of existing technology can assist, while in others "precision agriculture" and developments like genomic selection and gene editing offer potential. As a scientist my observation is that agricultural research has been "run down" worldwide for the last 30 years. Hopefully, we don't have to wait for a "panic" before it gets the attention it deserves?

it turns out Pavo is very good in today's technological age, I agree with you

The way blockchain is covering the all fields a day come when every centralized system will be outdated

Great concept but the 90% of the farmers in the world have no idea about blockchain.

I'm certain that the first target of this technology is towards farmers that have integrated some degree of technology already. The long-term goal of incorporating all farmers would take time.

Blockchain was always Help for those Peoples whose Known what the coins that what is its Blockchain what is main strategies and what they work.

This blockchain will be real purpose uses that is agriculture. We need food to alive and blockchain can help to grow more by the technical support in this field. Amazing article.

@hatu
Ya surely it will.
Currently this field is already helping a lot of us

Cool

Hmm I did
Upvote you

Very good, like

Love this. I have a podcast that focuses on tech. I'm going to reach out to Pavo and see if I can book them for Poppingthebubbl.com Thanks for this post.

That's great!
If you have a Telegram, let me know the handle; I want to get in touch.

I do not have Telegram, I don't even know what that it? :) But I will have it soon. I have some work to do this AM....then I'll get set up.

Another great piece of work @hatu

Upvote on the way! Catch :)

ps. have a great weekend ahead my dear friend,
