There have been several times since 2013 when news would come out where I thought that was going to be the moment Bitcoin and crypto currencies would go mainstream. One of most shocking examples of this just happened to me.
If you watch YouTube at all you have most likely seen Tai Lopez and his garage of books and exotic cars. Most of the time the advice he gives is very general. Positive but very general. Personally I don't subscribe to him but some of his content gets served up to me because of the other channels I'm subscribed to. One of his headlines / thumbnails pulled me in and I happened to click on it. I just so happened to look at the comments. The top comment threw me for a loop.

I know it is just a comment on a video but I don't feel that most of Tai Lopez's subscribers aren't super sophisticated and the fact that it was getting so many upvotes tells me that people knew in general what Etherium is. I have also had tons of people who are not technical but knew I was involved in crypto currencies contacting me now that everything is exploding. The all think I must have became rich since I was going on about this stuff since 2013. It is a good thing that more people are paying attention to it but I don't know if this happens to any of you out there but sometimes I just don't want to talk about crypto currencies especially when I was telling everyone crypto was the future and encouraged people to get involved back in 2013 but they looked at me like I was a scammer.
What signs have you seen where everyday people are suddenly excited about crypto?

Tai Lopez, Ethereum spokesmodel?
His following is chirping it to him. If he mentions crypto currencies in his videos I'm going to laugh but he has a following of a million so it gets another crew of people aware of it.
When cryptos hit mainstream, it will be to late to "get into them". You are in now and growing/maintaining a balance of them, or you are missing the boat.
I met a guy at the pawn store two days ago. I stop at this pawn store about twice a week to see if they have silver rounds or bars (the let it go at a dollar over spot). so I ask and they say no, so I go take a peek at the guns they have, ya know, just browsing cause they move a lot of firearms through there and always have rotating stock. This dude in some National Guard camo says to me, I have some silver if you want....ill do a dollar over spot. We start talking and we end up having a 40 minute conversation about BTC, Etherium and Steem.
It's as mainstream as its ever going to be....until it's too late. People who understand the direction the US (and the world in general) is going are mainstream to me, and those still at home on the couch consuming what passes for entertainment these days on the idiot box are the outsiders in my world.
I like your perspective on it. That you are growing / maintaining a balance of them or missing out. Good stuff!
It's shooting up in price!
