Yesterday the job was taking down the old trampoline and swing frame, both have been in the garden for over 10 years and the kids have spent hours playing on them.
As you can see the trampoline was a large one but time takes its toll and the material was starting to rip. After taking it down yesterday all the metal was put out front for the scrap man to take this morning and he drove past just as I was bringing the last of it around. The enclosure was taken down years ago as it didn't last that long before it was ripped and full of holes.
As you can see the girls have always loved playing on the trampoline and growing up it's always been their favourite thing to play on in the garden. Even our older son and his teenage mates used to jump on it when they came over for parties in the back yard during the summer. We had an open house policy that if they were in our garden we knew they were all safe and not getting blamed for hanging around in the local parks. As a result we often had 10 to 20 teenagers hanging around in the garden. As the girls get older I'm sure we'll have it again as it gives them and their friends a safe place to hang out and a trampoline always seems popular to the kids.
Now I'm just waiting for a new trampoline to be delivered today so the girls can get back to bouncing, and on rare occasions us parents too.
I'd have loved one of these as a kid.
a very good post
My parents didn't have a tampoline for us growing up but they would bring us to a friend of theirs who did. It was always a great experience!
