It was Sunday when we organized a simple surprise for Grandma. Right after dropping by to a fiesta we've been invited to, we went straight to our Grandma's house with cake and pizzas we bought along the way. We were trying to phoned our Uncle to tell him that we were coming but we can't reach him. When we arrived, Uncle wasn't there. We moved silently but a little bit fast so that Grandma won't hear us.
Luckily Grandma was laying down in her bed that time so it was easy for us to prepare at execute our surprise. After seeing us, Grandma couldn't stop her tears from falling. She tought we already forget her and her birthday. We sang her the happy birthday song and stopped her from crying. We joked about her age that instead of 81, it should be her 18th. We can feel how happy she was about what we did for her.
Grandma is living with my Uncle. But since Uncle is working in Manila, she was left alone in the house most of the time. We know how lonely she is knowing that she was all alone in that house, the place where used to be so lively and happy. Grandma lives with us two years ago, but when we transffered to another house, she didn't want to come with us anymore and is insisting that she wanted to live in her own house. We are just visiting her if we had the chance.

We are growing up and Grandma is also growing old. She isn't strong anymore like she used to. She never wanted to dye her hair black because it'll become white again later. So she let it be. She couldn't recognized us all. She is finding hardtime remembering our names. She was so happy to see us. She was very surprised. She thanked us with all of her heart for remembering her. When we told her that we were going home already, she told us to visit her again soon.
We love you Grandma and we are very sorry for our shortcomings. Stay healthy and strong!
Do you still have grandparents? How often do you visit them? If they are still alive, go visit them now and make them feel that they are loved. We are all growing up, but don't forget that they are growing old too.
I miss my grandma :(
