Sometimes I let life get the best of me and I get really stressed. 2017 seemed to do that to me a lot. But as I'm sitting here thinking about it, it has been a very special year indeed. I look back at all we got to do and realized we created some of the sweetest memories.
We got to check out a few surrounding scenic areas:
Falling Springs
Rocky Falls
Klepzig Mill
All of which our kids refer to as the "waterfall" places. I can't tell you how happy it made my heart to see them get excited over these places.
My husband and I had a special Anniversary and got to visit:
The Old Mill, located in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Did you know the building standing is actually believed to be the last standing structure in the film 'Gone with the Wind'?
My kids got to catch their first fish (with the help of some great friends) this past summer:
My daughter thought it was the coolest experience in the world. My son on the other hand.....
....was not pleased. When the fish came in off the reel I swear he jumped ten feet!
We got to go on our first family vacation to Metropolis, Illinois, where the kids got their first hotel experience.

...superheroes (and supervillains), and lots of them!

This is a very touching photo, he saw her across the street and ran to her. He was so very happy to see her, and immediately hugged her.

That was an all around awesome experience! Everyone there was more than happy to get their photo taken, and the kids were so excited to be able to meet a few of their favorites. 💜
It was a year of lots of firsts. First fishing trips, vacations, and learning to swim being a few.
Besides all of that, my husband and I got to watch our babies turn another year older. We got to watch the magic in their eyes as they woke up on Christmas. Now we all get to ring in the new year together, building blanket forts, watching movies, and sharing lots of laughs. Some of the best memories, in my opinion. I'm so lucky I have these guys, and looking forward to a positive 2018 to spend with them.
