After Much Searching, We Settled on a Canvas Tent
We finally outgrew our Ozark trail tent, and we decided this year it was time to upgrade to a long-term tent. We went CANVAS!
It was so big, it didn't fit in the back yard without overlapping our garden or the sandbox. So we set it up in the front yard.
The most remarkable thing about this tent, is that it can be set up by one person!
We had to go inside the tent and lift up the center pole to raise the canvas over the tarp. Read center as "north", canvas as "firmament" and tarp as "earth" to understand biblical creation.
It was very exciting to stand inside the tent for the first time. It's really spacious, even before it's stretched out!

The canvas lets in a lot of light and the vents at the top help circulate fresh air.
We couldn't stretch it out all the way because of the sidewalk and driveway, but it was up enough to water it in.
Girls made a pretend campfire to go with our new tent. They must be warming up their shoes!

Awesome! What is Sukkot?
It's known as the feast of Tabernacles in the Bible. Someday we'll be celebrating in Jerusalem, or wherever the Most High places His name.

You are certainly getting organised early.
I haven't given the thought to Sukkot. Its more than 6 weeks away.
We Israelis don't plan more than a week or two ahead.
Anything can happen in 6 weeks. Its all in Hashem's hands.
Sukkot will be before we know it! We're travelling down south this year, so we're doing what we can to get ready early.
Nice tent! What are the advantages of canvas? Will you be observing Sukkot at home or traveling? We are planning on celebrating at home this year.
Canvas has a great advantage in that it's heavy, breathable, blocks wind and keeps water out. It's made to last for decades! We're going down south this year, looking forward to the adventure.
