My Old Fringes Were Wearing Out
I wear the fringes on the four corners of my garments - I don't know if I'm doing it right, according to the commandment, but the principle is there. Don't go whoring after other gods, do not seek after my own eyes and heart, seek the heart of God and see every situation from the eyes (perspective) of God and not from my own perspective.
Speak unto the children of Israel and say to them: and they make tassels for them in the hems of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the tassel of the hems a twine of blue: And it shall be unto you for a tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of YHVH and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God. Jewish interpretation is that you only need to do it on garments that have only 4 corners - ie are rectangular.
For everyday use, orthodox Jews often wear a rectangular undergarment with a hole for the head with tzittzit attached.
There is another more ornate rectangular garment with tzittzit called a "tallit" for wearing over clothes in synagogue or other religious occasions.
