Button. Button. Whose got the button?

What does this old childhood game have to do with this old Cashew Crunch can? Nothing.

But! It does have something to do with what is inside the can. How so?

Well. My mom used to sew. Everything. From baby doll clothes, Barbie clothes, to school clothes to bathing suits. And some pretty darn fancy Hallowen costumes. And for as long as I can remember this was her button can. Lets just say that puts age behind it. Lol.

I was lucky enough to bring this momento home when mom passed. Just one of the little things, you know. As a young girl I dug through this can many, many times. The content ever changing. Sometimes just to look at the pretty buttons, sometimes to find a button to play a game with (thus the title), sometimes I would be looking for buttons for a new outfit mom was sewing. Sometimes I dug in there simply because I needed a button.

Recently I came across the button can. I had to open it. This I had not done since I brought it home. Here we go.

Out spills the pretty, the old, the mismatched, the unused, the lonely single buttons. And there are some odd ones. Which may have a little age behind them, too. Think '60's.

Hope you enjoy. Mom collected a fancy bunch of buttons for sure. Find anything special?

Some old buttons can have some value. Doubtful it would be one of these. Out of pure curiosity, I did check out the can on EBay. There are some for sale. Anywhere between $5.99 and $24. Oh well, this can nor the buttons are going anywhere.

By the way, anyone ever play Button. Button. Whose got the button?
