It's 9:00 AM Friday morning, and another great weekend of household estate sales! Folks are already lined up outside with anticipation of the treasure hunt of bargains. This crowd has learned to shop the second hand circuit of gently used, high end, three day sales. Most folks, including myself, have a passion or even addiction to the pass time, researching and preparing the night before. Insiders call it, estate sale eve. After all why patronize Walmart, Lowes, or any other retailer when these sales provide all you need for a fraction of the price. For those who know the trade, there is money to be made in resale.

Oh how I wish everyday was an estate sale day!

It seems every sale has a theme. It may be sewing supplies, quilting, garage tools, books, office, or garden related. Perhaps the person was into precious moments, dolls, cook books, old records, corning ware, pyrex, clowns, welding, medical, or had an office. They may have collected old jewelry, sports cards, coins, leather jackets or religious books. And then, there is the theme of the architecture of each house. And some folks just leave it all intact behind, personal items included, for the big sale.

Each theme becomes a witness to the life of the person who lived there.

As a musician, I am reminded of the themes and motifs that find expression and speak to us. We may remember Star Wars or Welcome Back Kotter. All TV shows have theme songs. So do classical and jazz music. They state the theme in the beginning, expand or improvise on it, and restate the theme at the close of the sonata or jazz performance.

But not all themes are happy. In fact, some can be destructive.

I remember David Z, a childhood classmate of mine. He was a hyperactive child who was adopted from an orphanage. His father was the bank president and his mom was a socialite. David used to pick on me as a child for being overweight, and then run from me. In life, he would get in all sorts of trouble through the years, but his dad would hush it up. It seemed David was constantly craving attention. It was his addiction.

As it turned out, David married a girl named Tracy. He had a child from a previous woman. There was marital problems and Tracy left him. To no avail, that night in March, he tried to get her back long distance over the telephone. She refused. He threatened to shoot himself in the stomach. His wife knew he was an attention getter, and at first, didn't believe him. He followed through and sadly died of an accidental suicide. The theme of craving attention eventually and ironically was his demise. David was 25.

David and I sat next to each other in our first grade photo.

Unfortunately, as a child, I was too young to know how to help David. But I want to help other children, so they're journey is not so troublesome.

I've learned that human life is priceless and innocence can easily be shattered. Little ones are being encouraged to explore their sexuality, and decide if they identify with being a boy or girl. They are being stalked, stolen and sold into the child traffic system, through the CPS and other racketeering agencies. For that reason, my pen becomes their voice and theme in my writing.

Please understand this is far worse than a six year old playing doctor with the little neighbor girl. But what is the CPS, and how does it apply to a story on themes and threads?

Thank you for asking. Child Protective Services is a governmental for-profit entity, that is incentivized through commissions and bonuses to break up families and place children in foster homes. At it's core, it is the theft and sale of kids and the shattering of innocence. Caseworkers use the elements of surprise, intimidation, manipulation and outright lies to maneuver their agenda and pull a fast trick. We find that the judges and lawyers are compromised and paid off. So the scheme is pulled off with minimal opposition and the crime is done.

So we see the themes of greed, selfishness, theft, manipulation, intimidation and lies as themes for the Criminal CPS. But what about the families and those children?

Again, thanks for asking. These little ones are shuffled from home to home. Most never experience their dreams in life, or ever see their real parents again. Many become runaways or live on the streets. Some end up peddled for sex, in prison or in a graveyard.

And then, there is the psychological garbage...er baggage they endure from the CPS kidnapping - depression, desperation, misery, guilt, anger, homelessness, helplessness, hopelessness, feeling of giving up, abandonment, and even suicide. And the list can go on.

Innocence is shattered and they can never trust again. Drugs and addictions can enter in. Violent hands and angry voices from strangers can lead to physical and mental abuse. They will have nightmares that repeat over and over like a bad horror show. With a heartful of tears, they eventually turn callous and numb, and are a mere shell of what they could have been. Most will carry these bags of emotions for life without help.

So with all these emotions and tragic life experiences, there are plenty of themes and sub themes to address. And the parents and family will suffer the same emotions. Yes, there is a multiplying effect of unnecessary negative emotions that ripple when the CPS enters your world.

But wait! There is a third element to this story. The general public. You know, everyone out there who is interwoven in this tapestry of life. We all have a ripple effect on each other. Our decisions and values affect those in the world we live in. In this sense, there are two basic themes. Let me explain.

In this hurried world, we can easily chose to be apathetic and indifferent to the suffering of children and families. After all, we work hard and have our own headaches and traumas to deal with. I ama too damn busy. It is not my problem. Someone else will take care of it.

Well, that someone else rarely if ever shows their face. And honestly, that someone else is you and me. It seems our selfishness and greed, allows the greed and corruption of the CPS and other child trafficking rings to thrive. And the innocent suffer at our expense.

The other theme we can choose is a proactive attitude toward protecting children and preserving the family. We are their voice and their hope. We can share the truth about the corruption and bring freedom to families.

We are the light that can extinguish filthy corruption and darkness. Have you ever seen roaches scramble when a light was turned on. Our pro-family efforts can have that impact on evil.

In conclusion, you know I am always game for a good estate sale, but human life should never be for sale. It is priceless, Every day must first, be a day of freedom for all. Each of us carries a theme or themes throughout life. Together, our threads and tapestry weave into the larger tapestry of life. We choose the color and theme that will impact others.

What themes, threads and tapestry will you leave behind?

Wil your life's tapestry be threaded in protection and love for the helpless and hurting? Will you be that somebody who is a voice for the voiceless?

The story with David was very sad. Who knows if he became like he was because of living in orphanage who knows how his life there was. The children and their mental health is very sensetive, the future of adults depends on our environment in childhood, how much love the children received. If they felt secure and free, supported and happy. No child should grow in fear and feel that he was guilty and deserves such tretment. Only then we receive healthy society.

Well said. Thank you.
