Back on Track
After some minor computer difficulties requiring a whole new computer and several expensive accessories I can't afford, as well as taking on a new and larger project, along with needing a short break, I am back with the Fiction-Trail Magazine (but not daily - that was a recipe for insanity). As it stands, the Tuesday issue will be mine (@baerdric), Thursday will be @meesterboom's wonderful interviews, and Saturday we will have an issue devoted to @Shell's new writing contest! So just because it is less frequent doesn't mean it has less content. It just means I don't have to fluff and fill so much.
New Curators!
Since the last Tuesday issue, we have added three curators to our team. This gives us a much wider range of fiction we can professionally curate, as previously we were mostly readers of SciFi and Horror. We asked :@naquoya sometime ago, who has been covering parts of the day that the rest of us sleep through.
@nikflossus joined just yesterday and has a strong understanding of literature standards.
@jedau will be joining us as soon as he wakes up I suppose!8-) Spreading across Timezones is important. Many of you know him from his frequent comments on many posts.
This bring us up to six curators so hopefully we will be able to read and promote many more posts.
Call for Authors
We are still asking for three sentence reviews as well as articles on Trails!
We are starting to get some readership, so you might get some followers if your name is seen more widely.
And, of course, the help is appreciated.
What happened to the word "Daily"?
Doing this as a daily Magazine was a fun idea, but the truth is there just isn't enough content available in one trail. I could have filled it with more simple reviews, but that would not help you or the authors. I needed something to attract interest to every issue or it's just another post that gets passed over.
Fortunately the admin at SteemTrail, Rick and Joe, had an idea to expand what I was trying to do to include the whole of Steem Trail, with it's 60 or more subheadings. I'll be contributing articles and working behind the scenes to get a wider range of articles on all the myriad Trails, with interviews of potentially hundreds of authors, guest articles from dozens of curators, and actual important information about the events and updates that SteemTrail and our community should know. That will make me feel more like I am doing something to help the Steemit and SteemTrail community, and I appreciate the opportunity.
But along with that comes a reduction in the Fiction Trail Magazine. We will drop back to three days a week I think, which should make the individual issues much more interesting to read. @Meesterboom will still be doing author interviews, there are some other regular columns in the works, and of course we will always welcome input from our authors.
