I spread my wings out and flew through the night, breathing in the cool air of the jungle. I heard a noise and instantly my body went on alert. I stopped my flight, spread my wings, and took to the air, scanning the ground with my piercing eyes. I quickly relaxed when I didn't see anything. I turned back to the direction I was going and continued flying. Suddenly there was a loud crash from below, and I heard a scream.
I instantly swooped down and noticed a small red creature lying on the ground, with a jet black human kneeling over it. The familiar shade of gray eyes stared into my light gray ones, and I knew exactly what I was facing. I softened my gaze, spread my wings, and landed next to the creature.
"Go away and leave us alone." I glanced at the creature. It looked like a monkey, but it had features that demon hunters didn't have.
I slowly looked back up at the demon hunter, who proceeded to help the creature up. He stared at my face and then looked back at the creature. He spoke to the creature in a language that I didn't understand, and I made a note to find out what it was.
I turned away from the creature, spread my wings, and took flight again, following the scent of the demon. I looked all around, but didn't see anything. I made a note to teach the creature how to track demons, because only the demon hunters could do it. It was the only way to travel through the Land of Satan.
I quickly realized that the creature was extremely intelligent. It had the ability to learn things very quickly. He learned the language that I had made up along with a few of the demon hunters. We taught the creature how to magically use the powers of a demon, and advanced his own magical power immensely. We continued to teach and train the creature, who we starting to call Jake, and he became extremely close to me.
The demon hunters and I had formed an uneasy alliance to defeat an opponent. My mother, the Demon Queen, had been defeated by the demon hunters, but she still lived. I knew that there were demon hunters out there who would make sure she was locked up so deep that she would never be able to escape.
Jake flew overhead, and I turned to see that the creature was indeed getting better at flying. I saw him try to fight the wind and then struggle before giving up and hovering. It would take time to learn. I continued through the forest and then stopped suddenly when I saw a demon hunter. I realized that only a few of these creatures still existed, but I was still wary of demons ever since my mother's defeat. I approached slowly, not knowing what to expect.

A female demon hunter strode forward, a smile on her face. She was the only one of her kind, and she had more power than any of the other demon hunters, including her mother, who had been the authority of the demon hunters in the Land of Satan. She had displayed more power than the others when she locked my mother away.
"So you're the voice that warned us of the Demon Queen?" I asked.
The demon hunter smiled and gave me a nod. I began to walk slowly away, but she grasped my hand and stopped me. She smiled more as she stared into my eyes, as if searching for something.
"We will meet again, my love," she whispered.
I nodded and began to walk away. She continued to stare at me, but I turned my back on her as I continued on my way. She suddenly stopped staring, walked away, and disappeared into the forest. I was relieved, because I didn't like the way she stared. Somehow I knew that I would see her again, but I just hoped she wouldn't come after me.
I soared through the land, hunger building in me. I focused on getting fresh meat. I had killed many of the creatures running through the jungle, but I knew the jungle well. The jungle belonged to no one. It changed from a thick forest to a game reserve and things had to adapt to their surroundings. It was a mixture of numerous beasts, both man and animal. It was decorated with rolling hills and occasional streams.
I stopped suddenly, breathing in the air. I closed my eyes for a few moments and soon after opened my eyes. I saw a dragon flapping its giant wings as it flew overhead. It was green, but it wasn't one of my kind. I flew after it, sensing that this dragon wasn't a threat.
I heard a voice speaking in a language that I didn't understand, but I flew closer and soon realized that it was speaking in a human language. I enjoyed listening to it speak the words, then it stopped. I waited until it was quiet before I approached. I was confused as I saw the dragon staring at the beast below.
"Come, slowly," the creature spoke to me. I slowly walked towards it, my mind still trying to decipher the creature's words.
"I am Jake, and I greet you, Leo."
It was hard to understand the creature, but I was impressed that it was able to speak in a human language. I let my guard down, but I still sensed danger. I had learned to let my instincts guide me when it came to danger. The demon hunters had trained me in harmony. I realized that I was speaking in a strange language, but it didn't bother me.
"What are you doing hovering here?" I asked.
The beast gave me a confused stare before replying. "I was trying to get close to a group of humans who were hunting me."
I narrowed my eyes and narrowed my jaw. "You are the dragon who kills them?"
The dragon grinned and replied, "Yes."
"Well, you should have teleported to them, then," I replied.
The dragon's gaze softened, and it looked away for a few moments. "I wish I could have. This should have been my cave to protect. I would have been happy to have killed as many of the humans as I could before I died."
I smiled and replied, "I understand. You can't protect everything."
The dragon stared at me for a few moments before I saw tears gather in its eyes. It slowly nodded, "You are right."
I nodded. I knew that there was more to the dragon's story than I had understood, but this was my break, and it would not meet with the humans. I slowly extended my talons and grabbed the dragon, lifting it into the air. The dragon protest, but I ignored it.
