As long as your thing is sufficiently different from their thing that the two can't be confused on anything other than name you're fine.
Other people trying to kick up a fuss with some serious mental gymnastics to pretend otherwise aren't worth the time or effort to acknowledge the existence of.
I was doing likewise for a little while and got to a point where I decided there were more important things to worry about
